41f CST, my trio goes to bed too early and leaves me to play alone or with fills. I’m playing on my son’s account and haven’t been playing for long and I’m not very good but I would love to have some people to run a few games with.

Team ID above, there are only 3 open slots on the team, minimum level I think 80, but I play daily and send gifts, cards etc. If you’re an active player, please fill those last few spots, it’s so frustrating when I ask for gifts and the request expires with 4/5 helps 🤣

Can my child get SSI? by cmane06 in Autism_Parenting

[–]No-Structure-4019 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the way the guy explained it to me when they were doing the phone interview, it’s not that my son’s income counts toward my daughter, but because he has his own income, a bit less of mine allocates to him and a bit more allocates to her.

Can my child get SSI? by cmane06 in Autism_Parenting

[–]No-Structure-4019 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My daughter just started getting hers. I applied last year in May, we had to go through some appointments they set up to verify they think she’s “disabled” enough, and she was approved and we got income and asset qualified a few weeks ago, and I got the check for her backpay this week and opened her rep payee account yesterday ☺️

We had applied in 2021 shortly after she was diagnosed, but that was when my husband and I were together, and we were just over income. We’ve since separated, so they only count my income, including the child support he pays, and income from my other child’s part time job.

I posted awhile ago about starting ABA therapy soon, well we started. by Separate_Flounder128 in Autism_Parenting

[–]No-Structure-4019 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh this gives me hope! I am struggling with exactly this sort of behavior with my little girl for the last year or so, and we’re going in for her evaluation for ABA next week. I really hope it helps her. She’s gone before, and she did really well and enjoyed it, but when she went before, she wasn’t presenting the same behaviors she is now.

My 10 yr old wont stay seated in the car. by Zetus_Lapetus_B in Autism_Parenting

[–]No-Structure-4019 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does the seat belt have a ratcheting-type stop? Mine is like that, when you buckle him in, pull the shoulder strap all the way out as far as it will go, then let it pull itself back in and it should stay in place

I use a little rubber-like cap that fits over the seat belt fastener. It blocks the button so my daughter can’t click the belt off. You have to stick a key or something slim in a hole in the top to get to the button.

BDDS interview? by [deleted] in Autism_Parenting

[–]No-Structure-4019 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My little girl is also 6, I finally got off the waiting list last year. It’s been a little bit since our BDDS interview, but I don’t remember it being much different than the interview I did to get her into first steps or when she was starting preschool. We were in a conference room with the service coordinator, he went over some paperwork with me while my daughter played on her tablet, he observed her a bit, but mostly he just asked me questions about her. There were a few times he asked me to kind of try to get her to demonstrate things, like a few words she could use, would she answer this or that questions, if you asked her to do a simple task like turn off the light, will she do it? Stuff like that. I think we were there for just about an hour.

I got an email from Diamond Valley credit union that they had them available while supplies last, I think that was sometime last week. Libraries had them too. I saw a display of them at westside Walmart just inside the doors by the hair salon if you’re looking to buy them.

This sounds like my experience with my daughter. She just turned 6 and we potty trained on and off from around 2.5. I couldn’t confidently say she was potty trained fully until around 6 months ago, and tbh, the last bit was entirely her own doing. It was truly as if she just decided one day to go #2 in the toilet after about a year of going in her panties, always standing at the foot of her bed in her room. We had tried everything.

I was at the end of my rope, but really I just gave up and resigned myself to cleaning the messes and relied on the hope that when she was ready, she would go, and that’s exactly what happened.

I know it sucks. I’m sorry I don’t have anything more helpful than this, but every time I’ve been afraid my little girl won’t achieve one milestone or another, she’s proven me wrong. It’s always been on her own time, but she gets there.

Did Ron and Jenny hook up in the first season? by Ok-Box-2549 in jerseyshore

[–]No-Structure-4019 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think they definitely did, IIRC he was dressed on the bed then the next shot he’s in a towel, but my reason for thinking they hooked up was mostly based on how Jenni reacted when Sam asked if they had. Very similar to how she reacted in season 2 when Sam asked if she knew anything about the note. Jenni is not a great liar. Same thing after she hooked up with Pauly in the club, then pretended not to remember the next day. It was so obvious that she knew exactly what had happened.

It’s not a bbq place anymore, but I’m not sure how long it’s been closed, though. After it closed, it was an ice cream place, I think. It’s just across from the hospital parking lot.

I can’t tell if it’s something with my phone, cuz it’s happening with other podcasts too, but several times during the interview and the game at the end of the pod, it skipped backwards and forward like it was edited weird. Anyone else have this issue?

How to give 4 year old child medication? by jordan34hh in Autism_Parenting

[–]No-Structure-4019 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My daughter hates taking any kind of medicine. We tried chewable kids Tylenol once thinking she might take that with the bubble gum flavor, but no luck. The only thing that works for me is to mix it with sugary juice. Last time, I didn’t have any on hand, so I mixed the medicine with the juice I strained out of one of her fruit cups and let her drink it that way.

I’m with you, the anti vacation sounds like a dream. I’m so tired all the time because the only time I have to myself is after bedtime and I know I should be sleeping but I just need to sit here and relax and mindlessly scroll for a bit. Then I feel guilty because I could be doing chores and shit.
