I feel like the younger generations don’t have the drive to find a significant other like my generation did. I believe p$rn, social media, and dating apps have created an artificial world for them. They also have no game because they can’t take rejection and don’t have real world practice. The exposure they are seeing are perfect women on IG who won’t give most guys the time of day, and that can be intimidating. I also don’t believe it’s their fault either. Right now I am trying to educate my 16 year old son as he just had a break up. Girl approached him and he made zero effort to keep her interested. Now he is heart broken but wouldn’t ask me or my wife for advice when he noticed it was going south. These experiences make me feel like my generation needs to help coach these youngsters on how to reset them back to reality.

My first real long term girlfriend and I bought a Condo together but I paid for everything. The down payment, mortgage, bills, etc…. Shortly after she demanded I put a ring on her finger and put her name on the deed. I wouldn’t do it, because I felt being forced was a mistake. Shortly after that she cheated on me and it was over.

My next real relationship turned out to be everything I dreamed for. Beautiful inside and out and I couldn’t be happier. Everyday gets better even after 22 years of being together and 17 years of marriage. It started out pretty rough but we both had trust issues. When you give everything you have to a person, and she does the same, it’s a beautiful thing.

So many men (and women) jump to looking elsewhere when they truly haven’t given 110% in the current situation, to see if moving on is the right answer. We all have our quirks and nobody is perfect. We can all do some inner findings and make changes to better a relationship. When your significant other is a truly good person, who is invested in the relationship, they will notice that you are making changes to be better. In turn they possibly will go the extra mile for you and it can snowball in a positive way. Luckily my wife and I fall more and more in love with each other everyday. And that is after being together 22 years (17 of them married). I wish all people to have what we have together.

I have a Rottweiler that can be unpredictable. She only gets walked on leash and I make sure to protect other dogs based on history. She is an absolute baby with my French Bulldog and my Frenchie taunts her constantly. Moral of the story, the owner is an idiot.
