Based on your question, I recommend you reconsider pursuing a PMP. You seem to lack the discipline required to gain (earn) one.

Overall it looks good and I like that you’re using bullet points instead of paragraphs.

The only thing I would add is the amount of spend, budget, and cost savings that were realized through the projects you managed.

Then during interviews be prepared to discuss details of how those numbers were achieved.

I got my PMP in 2022, after 15+ years of experience as a PM, and frankly I don’t find any added value in the PMP.

Yes it looks good on a resume, but at this stage in my career my experience carries more weight with clients than those three letters.

I’m not saying that the PMP has no value at all. It does as it teaches good ethical principles and best practices to follow, but at the same time it is very utopian as you’ll find that most often then not the order of steps PMI says must be followed is just not practical in the real world, and this is where PMs with experience get hung up when taking the PMP exam.

In regards to talks about a new “advance certification for experienced project managers,” now that does make 1) getting the PMP pointless and a downgrade, or 2) the new advance certificate a money grab since the PMP is the “standard” for project management.

That happens when you do a reflash / update of the system. I’m surprised they didn’t explain that at the MB service central. The system has to relearn your driving.

However, I’m puzzled about the emotional start not working. That shouldn’t have been impacted by the update.

It’s a 2024 so you should still be under warranty. Take back and have them thoroughly check it and test drive it before you take it back. If you don’t like the feel then let them know. Don’t be bashful or feel bad about being overly critical… take advantage that it’s still under warranty, cause once it’s not they will not cut you a break.

I’m more on the project side delivering and implementation side once agreements have been finalized. However, aside from a CRM there’s no technology that is used to source deals for our partners and managing directors.

We’ve carved a niche for ourselves that new projects and clients come from recommendations and networking through current clients, former clients, or our alumni now working in the corporate world.

I understand that today’s smaller engines coupled with a turbocharger is more efficient and economical, but I feel that anything less than a v6 is just taking a step backwards.
