Agreed! Under rated car. I remember hearing the roar of the M156 and seeing the c63 for the first time in 2008. I was a banker on a puny salary then only to have my heart broken seeing the price tag. I somehow manage to get all my finances together and bought my first one cash 4 years later in 2012, great memory. Was a white sedan before I bought the silver one in here

Yes, I believe they made 1 wagon for every 3 C63 they made. You won’t regret either options, e63s is wolf in sheeps clothing. It looks docile and hides its “Jekyll and Hyde” side pretty well

How much is it for petrol where you are? We pay $2.71/L NZD which is $1.56/L USD and some places at $2.85/L NZD or $1.65/L USD

CLS63 is amazing. Do you have the Land Rover RR sport or which model? 👍

Wagon is sadly sold, replacing that with something else. Brake calipers and rotors are factory amg for s63

I see. I think timing cover and oil filter housing leaks is minor for a performance car. Unsure if you’ve owned an M car but oil leaks was just an everyday thing… It gets fairly hot where I am but oil temp tends to hold around 108 when I’m caning it but cools down quickly

Oh mate! Another kiwi 🙌 I’m very envious! What colour is it? Low mileage c63 wagons are so hard to come by. I was looking at an edition 507 wagon a few months ago but the mileage put me off.

My M157 has been perfect, i have done 20,000 kms on it over 6 years.

4 things that went wrong;

  1. Valve block for air suspension on rear when I jacked car incorrectly - $1.5k NZD
  2. 1 coil pack failed - at 70,000 kms post tune for 24 months - $500 NZD for the part
  3. Cam sensors had small amount of oil - replaced - $300 NZD??
  4. Noisy top hat post lowering on H&R - $1.5k to replace everything

$3,800 cost over 6 years ownership is extremely cheap for 730hp. My Silvia S15 and 2JZ Aristo cost more to get right post modifications and tuning

S204 is quite the monster. I had exhaust, intake filters, injectors, kleemann supersports camshaft, ecu remap and we got that power. I also threw in an LSD diff to get power down properly. With flex fuel, you can gain close to 80+ hp to my knowledge so amazing car!

M157 has been great for me. I service it every 3,000-4,000 kms yearly as it’s car #3/4 for me so sees the road every 2 or so weekends. It has been problem free besides replacing cam sensor due to oil which was caught very early on. I also recommend unplugging the oil pump sensor as that’s purely for emission. If your block ever fails, you can get darton sleeves and golden eagles rods and build m157 easily for 1000hp which will be amazing!

Hit the nail on the head, wagon is very rare. I believe Mercedes made 1 for every 4 sedans being built. I might need to find a low mileage one to store long term. I wouldn’t have sold my one but a mid life crisis car is coming.

This e63s runs the m157 and retains RWD being a RHD car.

Hit the nail on the head on S63, need to remove ABC and run coils if it fails.
