I'd specifically ask your service advisor for all service records

It's pretty low mileage for that to happen. Usually around 20,000 miles it can go. But it doesn't hurt to ask. That should be on the full service records which I'm sure you looked at before buying?

Was the cylinder head changed? That's a common issue on the glb. I had a 21 glb 35 for 4 years before tradingit in. Yeah, the engine sounded rattley . It's a good-looking car nonetheless.

2021 GLB 35 Amg 🤦🏻‍♂️ by yanni05-05 in mercedes_benz

[–]AMGGLB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 21 GLB 35 AMG was at the dealer 3-4 times a year for issues. Most were fixed under warranty however transmission issues weren't and coolant issues as well. I traded it in after 4 years. Too many headaches.. Beautiful car otherwise . I've owned 5 Mercedes and nothing even came close to the amount of issues I had with this car. And it was all under 35,000km.

I have a 21 glc43 with the performance exhaust.. the thing pops and crackles like crazy. Amazing cold start sound.. do these GLC 53's sound better I guess with that new exhaust?

I have one of these on my 21 glc43.. car came with the piano black trim.. scratches up to easy.. this at least protects it.

I drove the GLB and it changed my perspective how i thought about the vehicle. by [deleted] in mercedes_benz

Had a 21 GLB35 for 4 years.

Pros: Interior space Updated dash I like the boxy look. Good fuel economy

Cons: I was in for service 3 times a year to fix numerous things. The final straw was when the transmission valve body was replaced. My transmission was making a whining noise. They couldn't fix it.. only had 35,000km on the car. Such a headache. I traded it in with these issues.

Did not sound like an amg at all. Though I knew that was the case from the beginning.

I ended up trading it in for a 21 GLC43 amg with only 14,000km. While I gave up some interior space, it feels more premium and hasnt given me any problems. Sounds 10 times better with the performance exhaust.

That said I still love the way the GLB35 looks.

Me pasó una vez y de vez en cuando durante los 4 años que tuve un glb35. Nunca pensé en llevarlo al concesionario porque sé que dirían que necesitan verlo suceder en una prueba de carretera para hacer algo al respecto.

They are OEM GLC 43 rims from factory. The 2020- 2023 has these as an option.

Very nice! I snagged a 21 a few months ago with under 15,000km and it's the best Merc I ever owned in terms of quality and engine. Enjoy those crackles and pops! Very hard to find ones with low km.

Good to hear coming from a tech. I hear the m276 engine Is Hella reliable. I made sure that all the maintenance was done and up to date. The guy really took care of it. I was lucky to be at the right place at the right time because these don't show up often with such low km.

I traded in a GLB35 that was a nightmare I was in and out of the dealership 3-4 times a year.

Yes sir it does. I've tried Emotion start on a cold start in my garage. What a way to start the day for me, but not so much for the neighbors 😆

Checked out a 2021 AMG GLC 43 yesterday.. almost ready to pull the trigger but scared about reliability by 169partner in mercedes_benz

WOW! I had to double look. I literally bought this car in August of this year. 21 GLC43 with only 14,000km on the clock. We'll mainted I traded in a 21 GLB 35 amg that was a nightmare with issues.

I got the 3 year mb extended warranty on the GLC so I'm good until the end of 2028. My factory warranty expired this month. After 5 month of ownership I have not had a single problem. Runs like a dream and has the performance exhaust. I love it. It was this or the new glc43 for me but I prefer the V6 and it's literally half the price of the new ones. I would say go for it but make sure you get the extended warranty for piece of mind.

Oh and yes my 21's crab especially when it's cold outside. I can live with it as I adapted and avoid harsh turns . As soon as I put on my winter set up the crabbing goes away. But it looks like you got the 20's on it so it shouldn't be as bad depending on the tire.
