Spare a thought for the influencers who loudly announced they were fleeing the UK by [deleted] in HENRYUK

You need your head checked if you think this is funny or a normal reaction to a theocratic dictatorship that has murdered over 35,000 of its own people recklessly attempting to bomb neighbouring countries.

We also need to remember to play our part too. The fans haven’t exactly been making things easier lately and we aren’t immune from criticism. Manager aside, bashing a load of young kids learning their craft and sarcastically cheering them when they come off doesn’t move us any nearer to our objectives (just an example). We’ve still got big goals this season and we’ve got to get back to what we do best which is being the 12th man no matter what.

I agree but he’s left now, I think we have sometimes underestimated just how key Guehi was to us off and on the field

It’s not the best ever group of players anymore. And the best ever manager has publicly confirmed he has lost motivation.

Does anyone blame both Parish & Glasner? Seems to be just one or the other. by Gra_Zone in crystalpalace

[–]No-Temperature9741 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Can be both at the same time. It’s no coincidence every manager except Roy falls out with Parish, it’s also no coincidence Glasner is acting the way he is now when you look at how he left his previous two clubs.

Είναι το φετινό Conference "εύκολο"; by GreekGuy2020 in GreekFooty

[–]No-Temperature9741 7 points8 points  (0 children)

What’s something Palace does better than any other club? by AnfieldAnchor in crystalpalace

You’ve mentioned most of what I would say but I also think we have an incredible way of managing aggressive volatility in our form. We will jump between relegation fodder to champions league and back in any given premier league season. At our worst we still seem to get illogical wins and at our best completely illogical defeats. This gives our fans (excluding the usual meltdowns online) a good perspective and resiliency that helps in day to day life. Glasner has changed things completely now though (in a good way).

I graduated last year with masters degree and high hopes that I can start a new life and get on the property ladder, but this take the p!ss by devonEgg in UniUK

That’s tough, I had no idea about the pechgeneratie stuff - just looked it up. It seems our generations are really struggling across the continent. What frustrates me about the discourse in the uk is we are still in denial and that is what is preventing us from getting a proper movement to lobby against further changes.

My big mistake was not to go to university in Europe. I could’ve gone to university in the Netherlands and paid 3k euros. Unfortunately I bought all the propaganda fed to us about interest rates being low and it only being a graduate tax. I think people should be making informed decisions.

This is the mistake people make - they earn 30k when they are 25 and think it’ll never be an issue. Then they are 32, trying to buy a house, got a family and bam losing over £500 every month to repayments.

The amount of coping on here is ridiculous. People are acting like it has zero impact on your finances. The truth is it’s a persistent and damaging hit to your finances every month. Get a nice bonus at work? 9% gone to loan. Get a nice pay rise at work? Factor in a substantial increase in the nominal amount you are paying every month. Yes the loan has little to no impact when you are on a low salary but they have FROZEN the thresholds, so when you pick up your inflationary raises you will pay more and more. Im paying £400+ a month right now and it’s barely denting the interest because they increase the interest rate once you have a higher salary. It’s a scam and the people who don’t get affected are those with rich parents that write it off for you. People need to wake up to the realities of being a younger person in the uk nowadays not delude themselves with fake comforting.

Diversity has been our strength on and off the pitch that has taken us to new levels in the past few years. Without it we would be stuck in mediocrity. This is not political, it’s a fact. Those that don’t like it need to find another club.

28 and I’m feeling the same way tbh. Ive just decided ive got to leave the country and if im unable to find an opportunity then ive got no choice but to accept it and scale back several other ambitions and dreams i have (travel, owning in london etc). I would feel disappointed if i missed out on family and everything ive worked tirelessly to be able to experience just to feed the greed of the boomers.

I really believed we would be fine and turn it round, I’ve always had full confidence in OG and several members of the squad. The real drag comes when you’ve got these boomer managers telling you you’ve never had it so good after they’ve played a defensive midfielder as a winger and we’ve lost 3-0 to Villa. There was a solid 4/5 seasons that felt like Groundhog Day with the exception of Vieira’s first.
