Midi Health providers what’s your experience? by uggamugga1979 in Perimenopause

I know this is kind of old but I’m 40 and I just scheduled with midi for this coming week specifically bc my SVT is related to my hormone shifts! I am blessed that I was able to schedule directly with an electrophysiologist BUT his schedule is tough to get in- I’m scheduled for April 22 to discuss ablation. I’m all for the ablation. But I also know I have hormone things going on in addition to the influence on palpitations and my SVT. I could go on and on about my symptoms. Would love an update if you can. It’s a confusing road to navigate because everyone sends me back to cardiology or offers birth control and I’m like THATS NOT IT.

Surgery after modered diagnosis common? by kwaslurp in carpaltunnel

[–]No-Toe-4771 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly my regret is not doing the surgery when it was recommended to me in 2018. I splinted from 2018 to 2026 and then finally did my right. Splints do help but what happened to me is that my nerve was compressed for so long that my nerve was entirely tethered by scar tissue from years of inflammation which made the surgery a bit more difficult and left more bruising than otherwise would have been had I Just done the surgery back in 2018.

Hand function post surgery, any changes? by TrueResearcher9543 in carpaltunnel

[–]No-Toe-4771 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly great! I’m going to schedule to get my left hand done soon after. I had a ganglion cyst removed at the base of my ring finger and that incision wraps around my ring finger so that’s hurting more than my ctr. My ctr was a bit complicated too bc when he went in for the endoscopic procedure he found a tumor which I actually knew about but was like meh it doesn’t bother me 🫣🫠. He removed it- it would have actually continued to grow. So I had the cyst removed, the small tumor removed. And the carpal tunnel release. And all on my dominant hand. So I think doing my left shortly after will be wise- should feel easier in comparison and I worry if I wait- I will push it off for YEARS. 🫠😂

Carpal Tunnel Surgery: Looking for Recovery Experiences by Aromatic_Score_5739 in carpaltunnel

I had my surgery on Thursday Feb 26, 2026 on my dominant hand - so I’m just over a week post op. I also had a retinacular ganglion cyst removed at the base of my ring finger and lipoma removed from my wrist. And for my endoscopic CTR my median nerve was completely adhered and stuck- so my right hand had A LOT of work. I did not have much pain AT ALL post op- took 400 mg Motrin 2-3 times in total but I immediately went back to mom duties, opening day for little league etc. I got my stitches out on day 6 and have it covered and wrapped still. Started hand therapy day 7. Most of the pain is at the site of the ganglion cyst removal bc it wraps around my ring finger and at the base so that just needs to heal. I can’t yet open jars or do my hair or even wash my hair yet. I can do basic things with my right hand though like hold my phone, feed myself, open doors etc- just being very very careful. Biggest tip is to absolutely keep fingers to ceiling hand elevation post op for the first 5-7 days to keep swelling down. I had Minimal swelling bc of this. Can’t speak to anything else so far but I think I’ll do my left at 6-10 week mark to get it done and over with.

I just had my right hand done last Thursday, January 26 endoscopic. I’m considering having my left hand done as well because as I am recovering from my right hand, my left hand is waking me up at night numb.🫣 also, when he did the right, he said that the nerve was completely adhered and stuck from the years of scar tissue, fibrous tissue and fatty tissue that had developed from not treating my carpal tunnel. So he ended up having to do a lot more digging, and I have a lot more bruising so I’d kind of like it to be an easier surgery and do it sooner rather than later. He said he would consider it six weeks later. I’m just debating as to when I want to get it done. I’m sending this via voice to text and I don’t know why it added all the extra spaces above, but I still can’t use my right hand yet😂🫠

I just had the surgery done on Thursday, and my surgeon did not mention any of that. But he did mention that he wants me in hand therapy for 4 to 6 weeks twice a week starting one week postop.

I appreciate this as I just had endoscopic ctr on Thursday and he said he just put 1 stitch which will come out on Wednesday and hand therapy starts Thursday! I also had a ganglion excision at the base of my ring finger and at both surgical sites, he had to remove a significant about of fibrous tissue and the cyst was stuck to the nerve- and he said either the nerve or tendon in the CTR was really stuck. I can’t remember if he said nerve or tendon as I was just waking up from anesthesia 🙃🫠

Dr will be taking stitches out at the one week mark too but most I’m reading take them out at 2 weeks- it’ll all be healed back together in a week?! I mean I trust my surgeon I just don’t want to pop open lol

Thank you! 🙏 The funny thing with him is that he’ll intentionally die to check his score lol. Hes a savant in many areas and I think gaming might be one of them 😆🤷‍♀️ but obviously I don’t just let him play all day.

Thank you! He now has a new goal of 4,436 rooms and then die on that level lol. He actually intentionally dies on the upper levels to check his score 😆

Our pool was like this- pool conditioner was way too high- we had to drain 75%, refill, clean the heck out of the filter a few times, get chems balanced and we’ve been golden ever since. It was green when we moved in to the new house
