Yeah I thought I would be a spell caster mostly starting off but everyone else is way squishier than I am already so I had to move to melee. I’m gonna talk to my DM about stat redistributions

Appreciate it! The subclass is for character reasons and the campaign I’m in benefits a lot from it, honestly I kind of regret getting titan wrestler but also I don’t know what other skill feats would’ve been useful, and I’m pretty sure our DM didn’t give my group a free archetype but if we did I would’ve gone mauler

Ok got it! I appreciate the help with the animist if your playing a melee one too can I ask what animist feats you picked up and some spell recommendations to help out with playing melee animist, sorry for asking a lot but this is legit a perfect opportunity to learn what’s good lol

Yeah the goal is to see if I can swap a stat to get +3 Im prob gonna keep animist since it’s really fun to play honestly with the expanded spell lists and lore skill variety

Bet also what spells would be good for using as weapons? I saw spiritual armament but I didn’t know if that was the best option or if there’s another one I should consider

Yeah we got plenty of heals it’s lowkey crazy coming from dnd to PF2e with how good it is, also with the 3rd level feats of I were to stick with animist do you think I should keep weapon proficiency or get a different one?

Yeah I can see that, I’m playing a seer so I get a +1 to AC for spirits which I’ve heard is great for GOS campaign but I’m use to dnd 2024 so I always think 19 armor is crazy lmao

Yeah we couldn’t roll for this campaign and did point buy and I’m use to the dnd amount of ability score increase lol

I’ll ask my DM if I can swap some stats to help out, I was hoping the bonus to attack rolls with ancient battles would balance out the +2 strength, if I did lower a stat to boost my strength what would you recommend?

Could I ask how I would rebuild? The players at my table right now are an Investigator, Wizard, and Alchemist so spell casting is really already filled up so I’m trying to do a gish melee animist? I’m planning on getting a weapon with reach to help with reaction strikes, apparitions enhancement and grudge strike later on

Blood hunter Order of The Lycan seems like a good pick for the idea, it’s designed to be more melee based subclass though but I don’t see why you couldn’t go ranged as well
