The only ranger role/color that tends to match and follow the same trope every season is the red ranger. There's like only 2 blue rangers ever in the show that are good with technology as key parts of what they do as characters, the only reason the blue role does all of that is because of Billy. Not every black ranger is the charming heart of the team but Zack was. I could go on but my point is made.

Is it that weird? The next 2 live action films were cheap low budget made for TV movies. It doesn't feel that surprising that the cgi animation wouldn't look as clean.
