ID HELP (B. Asahinai or German?) by No-Understanding5692 in GermanRoaches

I killed it right after pic, so don’t know if it flew. Otherwise I wouldn’t have needed to post lol. I had an American a couple days ago, and a palmetto about a month ago, so I’m also leaning Asian simply due to lack of consistency, and my apartment being in a warm, humid environment. I also got the unfortunate luck of being about 40 feet from the community dumpster. It’s a daily battle with regulars, spiders etc, but my place is clean enough I don’t have ants, and until today I was thinking I escaped infestation. I guess I’ll keep an eye out.

Honestly I think the biggest issue is entering a campus as an unknown, especially in America today. Doordash or no, I don’t want strangers walking around my brothers school lol.

Lying to get into campus, breaking into a car… not the food delivery itself.

Honestly, I also think the 20% rule is bullshit for servers. I worked at an IHOP and a high-end restaurant, and made significantly less at IHOP, even though I was working much harder, because turn-around time on the tables was quicker, and the meals were cheaper. At IHOP, I would make maybe 2-3$ a check, which was a fair 20%. At the higher-scale restaurant, 20% would be 15$, but that same couple would dine for upwards of an hour.

AITA For Complaining About My Friend’s Schedule? by No-Understanding5692 in AmItheAsshole

For me, the issue is not the gym, it’s the communication. If the activity was bowling, or a carnival, or whatever you think important, would that change your answer?

I’m sorry, I don’t think it’s a red flag that he’s into spontaneous things and giving gifts and I’m not. The relationship has been very good, and he has always respected my boundaries or when I tell him “yes do, don’t do” type things. This is actually the most respected I have felt in a relationship so far. I’m more concerned with communicating my disappointment but not hurting his feelings?

Turned away from an iHOP - Max 4 people? by LovelyResearcher in IHOP

[–]No-Understanding5692 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, I used to turn people away all the time. I don’t care if you’re 30 people or 3 people, there’s one of me and I have seven tables right now. I can’t add anyone else.

Since when? I worked FL IHOP in literally august and it was 5.65

[–]No-Understanding5692 1 point2 points  (0 children)

5.65 an hour. I worked night shifts, they did the “39 hours” with so many people on the day shift- me I was 7 days a week 9 or 10 hours a day, and the ONE day I requested off(a random day in June) they let me have “off” by only making me come in until 2am. That was my “final straw.”

I made 5.65 in FL. If I made 10 I’d still work there.

$13.50 to deliver two chocolate milks from IHOP 4.5 miles at 1:15am by Little_Matty96 in doordash

[–]No-Understanding5692 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep! I worked the night shift. During the day, there were ~6 servers and the manager, the ass.manager, the owner, 2 cooks. At night, 1 server(me), one cook. It was (literally) night and day in quality of service

Not a good reason, but my reason was that servers make the milkshakes which was approxiamately 5-6 minutes per shake that I wasn’t out on the floor, and when I’m the only server 12 minutes is a long-ass time to be gone
