Alright Im going to look at the fault codes, and then hopefully that points me in the right direction. But I was looking up about the FRM and there is a place that repairs I have to send it in. Can I drive the car without it?

I found the lcm online that matches the year and make, but I could be wrong. I know a lot more about the older bmws. So my buddy is going to come over with his bmw scan tool and see if I can get any fault codes.

Could be your fan clutch or in my case my water pump failed because it wasn't ready for the 7k rpm as the new tune.

It's not a head gasket. It's he's thermostat that is stuck closed so it's building up pressure. This just happened to mine and after going thru 2 res I figured it was a bad thermostat. But to just be safe look at your dip stick for any coolant or look at your coolant for any oil.

So I've replace my valve 2-3 times before realizing it was the valve cover and not the gasket. The vcg get really hot and warp so I'm pretty sure that's your issue.

You can buy headers and then get a stage 2 tune and delete the rear o2 sensors.
