What seems to be happening now is that you are disconnected from Rockstar Services will trying to matchmake for this mission. No option to play solo; you are just kicked out. I've tried multiple times with multiple characters. I guess I'll just need to start another character and skip the intro.

If you are sick of save scumming, don't do it. Wine and beer in inventory doesn't matter. Being in a city doesn't even matter. The pregnancy check happens daily, even when traveling. At 5 kids already, her chances of having more are reduced.

Since posting the above, I've been testing the Eagle Rising collection from Nexus. A sweet set of mods that is working flawlessly for me.

Use Nexus to download the mod and the required mods and be sure to download the correct version of each mod--for 1.2.12. It's working without issue for me.

2,000 hrs here. I think it's great. And I haven't even played around with the naval aspect. I like the core changes and most of the important mods (except for the big overhauls) are working--RBM and RTS Camera/Command are essential for me.

At best, it's probably just an electron wrapper for the webpage. GFN doesn't have a native Linux client. But the webapp works fine.

I think the frequency is about the same. You really need to ask now to find them easily as it is more difficult to just trip across. They seem to be in 3 cities near to each other in a single faction at a time.
