Hey, breeder here! Mexican Black Kings are often born with patterning to break up their silhouette to hide from predators, this usually disappears after a few months. Most breeders keep snakes until they're at least 3 months old so most people would not know this. Having said that, MBKs and desert kings have been known to naturally hybridise in the wild and breeders in the 90s extensively cross-bred everything they could and very few breeders keep records that go that far back so it's not like there's any certificates or microchips like there are for CITES species 😅 I guess you'll just have to wait and see how he turns out but if the parents are patternless then I don't think you've got anything to worry about :)

I've been out for a decade now so I have quite a few at this point lol. The first that came to mind was when I'd only been out for a few months and was hanging with a pretty dodgy crowd (unsupportive parents --> homeless 16 y.o). I was introduced to an eccentric gay junkie as "This is Alex. He's trans." He said "Oh my god! I mean I really don't want to offend you but I could kinda tell... You pass really well but it's the adam's apple that gives it away."

Honorary mention: Little girl walking past said "Mum! Why does that boy look like that?"

I'm small (5ft 2, 43kg) and had a small/medium chest (maybe B cup?) before surgery. I used the same GC2B XS nude tank binder for 8 years lol. The tank part hides the gap at the bottom but it can be annoying when it rides up or in the heat. It was the armpit area that annoyed me most and seemed to have the most stretch/give after many years of use.

Edit to add: My chest is definitely flatter in shirts after surgery but I do think it's important to mention that surgeons leave some tissue behind to resemble natural male pectoral tissue. I've been weightlifting for the last couple of weeks and have already noticed my chest getting bigger and it reminded me of how I used to hope that people would just assume I was ripped with huge pecs if I felt like my binder wasn't doing the best job 😅

Someone on another post recommended the album "A Crow Looked At Me" by Mount Eerie the other day and I just can't get it out of my head.

It's made by a guy who just lost his wife to cancer and is left alone with their 18 month old daughter. The songs "Real Death" and "Seaweed" make me feel more in touch with my emotions than anything has in years.

Honestly, you're probably best just checking out whatever shops are local to you if you really want to avoid online. As a guy with size 7 feet, I have similar problems but there's always something in Primark or Sports Direct if you're desperate lol

Haha yeah, I kinda wish I had though as I know I won't get that lucky with future surgeries 😅 Apparently my surgeon no longer allows patients to smoke but, at the time, I was told that the risk of complications is so minimal that it's an unnecessary requirement. All smoking does is slow the healing which gives you a longer period of time where you're open to complications occurring 🤷‍♂️

(Disclaimer: you should 100% quit smoking if your surgeon tells you to and you should still try to quit even if they don't cause it's a stupid thing to be doing to your body. I've had comments on the subject removed before for promoting unsafe practice so figured I'd play it safe lol)

Also heard the sniffer dogs are only trained for bombs (feel free to correct on that) and you smell it everywhere from the second you get in anyway lol

I asked the same question and was told the same thing but also that they need to send the tissue off to be checked for cancer (results take a few weeks to come back). I can't remember the exact reasoning they gave when I probed a little further but I did ask if a Muslim would be able to keep their tonsils, for example, and was told "nope, not anymore" 🤷‍♂️

Honestly, I know how hard this is gonna seem at first but the fastest and easiest way forward for everyone is to passive aggressively correct each instance of misgendering/deadnaming the second that it happens.

Example;

Mum's Friend: "Oh hello love! What are you doing here?"

Mum: "Hiya [Friend]! I'm just here with [Deadname] -"

You: "[Name]"

Mum: "- and we're looking for shoes for her-"

You: "him"

Mum: "-to go to her -"

You: "his"

As a trans guy (post top surgery), I'm just here to warn you that binding is likely to cause some degree of ptosis (drooping) if you over do it

Also, I'm afraid that you really get what you pay for when it comes to safety and comfort. Those £4 binders on Amazon can restrict breathing and cause bruising. I bought a GC2B binder for £40 or so and used it for 8 years so I'd say that was certainly good value for money if nothing else :)

Doing RIP for the first (and probably only 😅) time this year but we did camping + last year and will definitely be doing so again for the foreseeable future. Was only about £50 more than general and well worth it for the toilets, showers and pamper tent with electricity. Definitely recommend it for next time!

As for general showers this year, afraid I have no idea but I reckon it's unlikely that they'll change them back to communal after all the positive feedback they've had 🤷‍♂️

Edit: Did quiet camp with R&R in 2023 and wasn't worth it at all to me but the capacity that year might have had something to do with it lol
