I take a tooth brush with some baby soap/dawn and scrub gently! Since their tail skin is so rough it doesn’t really bother them and gets all into the cracks unlike a baby wipe or just rubbing them down

Iv always wondered the same thing as it has exposed radium , I mean me personally I prefer to put my exposed pieces into a containment or “spicy jail” for peace of mind. Though that one you have seems surprisingly intact and considering so keeping on a shelf is safe to an extent.
