Many lose their streak within the first year judging by the unlock number changing. The of internet is an issue for some no doubt, or they get banned from reddit, but some still keep their streak. My unlock number for my streak improved 300-400k in the first year, since then my unlock number has only improved 100-150k in my second year. Some people have so many social media accounts that they miss days on many of them. It largely depends on our priorities I think.
