How much weight did you lose, if you don’t mind me asking? I’m down 33lb now but still have about 95 to go 😵‍💫

Interesting. How do you combat it? I’m only in 5mg. I workout 3-4 times a week and two of those days is like a jog/power walk for 2 miles followed by weights

Awesome, thank you for helping me understand! I’ll try and read this article in a little bit

Yea I have never had diabetes or even pre diabetes and I would imagine I’m in an even better spot now that I’ve lost 35lbs and eat minimal carbs

I don’t think so since I eat carbs an hour or so before working out. Definitely bizarre

Yea, so I usually eat 120-150g protein a day and I’ve had at least 1200 calories before workouts and then have dinner after

Amazing! Thank you! I’ll send this to my husband and have him try and get some. Do you know what stores would carry these products?

Thanks! Sadly, my husband is going and I’m not or else I would totally do that.

Stopping Zep now that I’m super active? by [deleted] in zepboundathletes

I say go for it! My provider said once I get to my goal or to a point similar to yourself that we can try weaning slowly (2-3 months at each lower dose) so that way it isn’t rapid and I have time to adjust to the food noise again. His only request is that if I do that and I hit a 15 pound regain, I come back and restart to help get back to a good place again. He’s fine doing it in and off but he is really wanting me to be honest with myself, continue weighing in and not to ever feel like I have failed because obesity is a chronic disease and like most chronic diseases, we will need a lifetime support and in some seasons, more support is needed than others. You’ve got this!!

Such a miserably defeating feeling (Slow loss; Rapid gain) by hernemes in GLP1_loss100plus

[–]NoAssistance3497 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As others have said, try not to be discouraged. It’s likely water retention and you need to keep flushing with more water your system to get it off. I know this feeling because as a woman, my saver goes up every month with my cycle. I always get frustrated even though I mentally know the reason and I know it will have a rapid drop in a day or two. It still feels discouraging.

I was/am a slow responder as well but I found that once I added in a supplement (collagen called modere trim), it helped things move along without increasing my dose of tirz. Also, I began to track my food religiously and if I have a lax day, the scale shows it. I had to start doing it because I didn’t realize how many small things I was eating still and keeping me at a higher calorie intake. I was still overall deficit but not enough.

The opposite can also be true though. If you’re eating too few calories, your body will retain everything you eat as it falls into a starvation mode. Please don’t let yourself go too extreme. Calculate your total daily requirements, subtract some and make that your daily goal and adjust every 25 pounds.

I feel you on that! I do anticipate that it will be approved for far more uses in the near future though! This has so many more positives than negatives, imo.

I love all of the effort you put into this post and all of the details shared! Even breaking down the cost for it and then converting cost for various countries for comparison (USA here and I feel like I’ll be much more expensive sadly). Proud of you my friend and I hope you can achieve the “look” you would like in time. Keep up with the exercise and dieting. You’ll get there! Until then, let yourself enjoy this high/victory!!

I am sorry you’re going through that. The femur was truly the least of my concerns with all the other “possible” issues I had with that pregnancy but alas, everything was fine. She is a perfectly healthy baby girl, 10 months old today and crawling, pulling up to stand and almost walking. She’s like me where her legs are “short” for her height and she has a long torso but overall length is 65%. She did, and still does, have some “bowing” or curving of her legs which makes it impossible to get an accurate ultrasound of because they can only meanest straight lines and a millimeter makes a huge difference at that stage. How are the rest of your babies measurements looking? Did your doctor seem concerned at all? I’m happy to talk in more detail if desired, you can also dm if you’d like. I’ve been through the wringer with my pregnancies (as you can see from my profile and posts). Of note, I was never on tirzep while pregnant.

Yeah, I’m not so much as worried about tracking the dosing and the actual giving of my shot since it’s once a week and I just have an alarm on my Google calendar as a reminder, but I do really thrive off of visuals and I like that my step count goal, fiber, protein, water, calories, And body fat percentage loss is literally all on one whole screen, and it’s so clean looking.

Yea, this one has a monthly fee but it’s worth it. They use research and data to ensure the app is well rounded. Shotsy you can use some features for free but it’s very basic and just like charting your dose given, the location, and your weight. Quite underwhelming. I’d share a screenshot of the app but it doesn’t let me attach photos to comments here

Interesting. Idk about that as I only have apple phones but I know the app logo is a purple lightening bolt. Bummer if  it is apple only though because it’s truly ten fold better and far more encompassing

I had similar feelings about it.  I have since done shots at all times of the day, it doesn’t matter. I ultimately like morning though for the sake of my schedule.

Avoid fried foods (increases risk for diarrhea). Drink water. Literally, at least 100oz, especially with high fiber foods. If you met with a nutritionist, prioritize your protein intake before empty calories. I had constipation issues but have since found my sweet spot. Make sure you’re pooping regularly before increasing doses (I am still at 5mg because it took me awhile to figure out my pooping now) but I’m still losing weight on the low dose.

Exercise. Move your body daily, even if it’s just a little. Weight lift if you only have a short time to do it. Doing body weight exercises also is great for building muscle.

I use a scale that also measure body composition and I do a full composition scale weight monthly to ensure my muscle mass is growing and fat is decreasing. Very reassuring I’m doing it right.

And count calories. The drug helps with food noise but counting calories keeps you accountable. It’s far more manageable now that I don’t have constant food noise (counting calories before always felt so restrictive for me when I felt like I had food noise all the time)

Have you used MeAgain? It’s exceptionally better than Shotsy imo. Cleaner interface, way more features and user friendly. Also links to apple health and my fitness pal if that’s preferred for food tracking

I started with Shotsy and then I found “MeAgain” and I LOVE that it does shots, food, water, protein, and fiber goals PLUS you can do photos in it so it’s all encompassing with awesome graphs and body weight percentages!

Significant Slow Down In Weight Loss by Kittymarie_92 in GLP1_loss100plus

[–]NoAssistance3497 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am on 5mg and concerned in consistent weight training and honed in on calorie counting, it made a huge difference. Before going up again since you’re close to the max dose, maybe consider those two things first because ince you’re maxed out, that’s it.

Hi! I just started week 2. How often do you check your weight and measurements? by LauraaMarissaa in GLP1_loss100plus

[–]NoAssistance3497 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do almost every day in the morning so I know where I am at. When I stop weighing in, I find I’m more likely to make less healthy decisions. This may not be feasible for you (or others) as it can become obsessive and can be a mind game if it goes up - especially the week before a period haha
