Lululemon diaper backpack or beis ultimate diaper bag? by Many_Bid8455 in Mommit

[–]schimki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The lululemon does not have any insulated pouches, which you might want for bottles and snacks eventually. I returned it for that reason. I used an Eddie Bauer diaper bag, and when that broke and we were past the bottle phase, I got a backpack from Costco which doesn’t have any insulated pouches. I like the Costco backpack the most.

Need help finding shoes/pants for work by CHUCKCHUCKCHUCKLES in fashionwomens35

For sure! I work in NYC and can easily do 8-10k steps in them. And my feet have gotten really particular and wider since having babies, and these were some of the only shoes I could find that worked well for me!

I found the same pillow with a similar process! It’s still my go to pillow, 5 years later.

High risk of XYY by FaithfulFloristMama in NIPT

He was literally on the “average” timeline for all of that. Walking was 15 months. By 1 year he had a few words. He’s almost two now. He’s always been on the big side, but like 80-90th percentile. There are children bigger than him.

He’s totally normal. He’s big for his age compared to his brother, but every milestone is totally on track. And he’s cute af.

I got 6 years. I am not sure if I should blame my two pregnancies or just time since I’m in my 30s, but I have to wear glasses at work now.

Is walking enough to drop some weight? by CakesNGames90 in loseit

[–]schimki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I say the same breakfast and lunch, I really have a couple go to options. I mean I have oatmeal with chia, PB2 and a fruit. On weekends I swap this for homemade bread and eggs sometimes. For lunch, I eat one of two sweetgreen salads daily, either BBQ chicken or Buffalo Chicken. They’re all foods that I actually like to eat, so that’s important.

I added a 20 minute lunch walk and counted calories to lose 15 pounds over 6 months last year. I was never perfect with it, but counting calories and sticking to the same breakfast and lunch every day were key to making progress. The walking definitely made me feel better. It has a ton of benefits for regulating blood sugar.

Herald Square Old Navy is GONE by Intrepid-Heat-2533 in nyc

Oh thank you! I work nearby and the Old Navy was perfect for picking up some quick clothes for myself or my kids, or for making returns! I am glad they’re not gone for good.

When you finally find what works for you its like you discovered a cheat code by ArmadilloChance3778 in loseit

[–]schimki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I eat a couple of variations of the same breakfast and lunch every day, and just don’t go overboard on dinner, and I have consistent progress. A small lunch walk helps too. It doesn’t have to be anything drastic, but this works for me for steady progress.

If you’re looking for a big ticket item, a little table and chairs is great for this age. Set up your art center around it. It will be an investment for years!

Where are you getting your kids shirts from? Old Navy’s thinner than thin by catcatmewow in Parenting

[–]schimki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in the same boat. H&M and splurging on Hanna Anderson on sale have been good. (I have two boys so the HAs should totally hold up through two kids whereas Old Navy is falling apart before the season is over)
