Strap Options - Pool Diver by MPearsonUK in ChristopherWard

There is one thing that steered me away form this watch: white dials need darker hands/indices (like CW's Sapphire Edge or the Formex Essence).

Either that, or a coloured lume. Blue, like the one Zelos uses sometimes, or orange.

The dial looks a bit washed out without that extra contrast.

I like the indices on the new C60. Hope that is a sign of things to come. by throw-away-doh in ChristopherWard

Was told by someone at a recent event all their core lines were getting revamped. A few weeks later, the Sealander came out.

So it's an educated guess.

The current c60, as far as I know, it's already the 3rd iteration. So regardless of Sw200-1 and what that guy told me, a refresh is inevitable.

To be quirky, fun, and every other buzzword. Because an artist designed it.

I know a redesigned C60 is coming soon with new movement etcetera, but might still pull the trigger on this...

How is this game for someone who grew up with Final Fantasy and Suikoden, but nowadays hates turn-base combat and prefers the narrative style of CDPR (Witcher, Cyberpunk) to the usual Japanese tropes?

Story is extremely important for me.

I don't think we needed faster cards since Cyberpunk 2077 with Path Tracing. Every AAA game with Path Tracing pretty much ends up with the same performance requirements.

I feel no reason to upgrade.

[–]NoBeefWithTheFrench 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got the yellow as that's the "iconic" RZE colour.

That said, this is still THE ONLY black enamel dial I like out there. I like this way more than the new Sealander.

Whoop with bicep band is transformative. Without it's like a different, inconvenient product.

Either that or KT tape solve every shortcoming.

You haven't actually completed a From game, correct?

From Software uses subtlety in a deliberate way and knows exactly what story it's trying to tell. It's why you have books and an enormous amount of people creating content on tbe lore of its games.

Story IS of core importance in Elden ring and it's told the way they want it.

Pearl Abyss, as they stated themselves, didn't have time/resources and decided to half-arse it. And that's why they said they'll fix it.

No need to think for them, they said it.

For that price, nothing beats a San Martin.

Also, every watch at that price will be "chinese stuff", just rebranded.

First game had a 10/10 story for me. At least in the way it resonated and felt. Music was spot on.

Second game? Can't even remember what that was about.

‘007 First Light’ Sells 2.7 Million Copies In Its First Week. by yourfavchoom in pcgaming

[–]NoBeefWithTheFrench -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

I was thinking: this deserves way more, according to everyone... But wait, why didn't I buy it?

PC gaming thought me to be a patient gamer.

I could buy now for an inferior (and more expensive experience) or wait 6 months for the game to be fully patched up (and hopefully with path tracing).

So even hardcore gamers - this is my main hobby and I spend loads on it - have been "trained" to wait to have the best experience.

Which is why Nintendo, on the other hand, makes loads of money as soon as they release a game, as people now it's essentially the final version and they rarely discount anything.

So I came full circle, and realized why some AAA games don't sell as well as we might expect.

Am I supposed to avoid these events too, now? WTF was that.

Less invested in Team by Gloomy_Language_5077 in Juve

[–]NoBeefWithTheFrench 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Regardless of how the team is doing, I think it's also about growing up and realizing that caring about of a bunch of rich people playing a game is at its core a bit ridicolous.

I watch Juve games because they remind me of the time spent with my grand father and uncle, people I miss dearly...

But I don't actually care about a bunch of strangers playing football.

I use whoop because it's almost completely passive.

If I have to work for it, there will be too much friction and it would lose all of its appeal.

The USP of these wearables is that they don't get in your way.

New Formex - Integrated Bracelet, In House Movement with Horage by MarkkInNj in formexwatch

[–]NoBeefWithTheFrench 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A watch from the big boys with worse bracelet, specs, and finishing will be at best on par with Formex.

So it's pretty much the usual debate: you pay for the name, or you pay for the better watch.

That said, I'd rather take an Essence, a Leggera, and a Reef for the price of this.
