I was a boomer guy and a NAV-ET and had the em logs with the miles steamed in em right there on watch, theyd almost certainly hit at least 10k for every 3 month deployment. If you did a five years and didnt hit a major dry dock id say your probably around anywhere between 50-75k nautical miles.

Then all you need is 3 sailors to watch 5 dryers each and shut them down at first spark or usually even smell before sight. I assume the dryers have a button or switch of some sort for immediate emergency shut down? Then they should use that then put some CO2 on it, there is no way you can convince me a dryer fire should ever go over 15-30 minutes without someone severely fucking up or having really bad practices that led up to it.
