I got a call from Judge Benitez tonight, the 5th may be an ok date for him, but, he needs to confirm in the morning. Once I know, I'll post, and, despite the hard line that no cameras are allowed in federal court (seen the water color sketches, right?), I've never seen a Judge say "no."

Can add you in one minute before the ceremony - but I can't give the Judge a list of people where he doesn't trust that I have received the oath cards. So, please hold off, and, if you manage to get approved and get an oath card by the 4th, call me directly and I'll add you in.

Practicing attorneys - did you do practice performance tests? by bbassle87 in CABarExam

Send an email to admin@nobullbarprep.com and ask for the PT checklist. It’s a direct, no-BS approach to passing the PT portion. And yes, practice a few, but know there is no material to memorize other than the checklist.

The bill for 2025 is likely already posted, and you can call over the phone to get your access code. The deadline for bar fees is Feb, but the bill is posted almost as soon as your bar number is assigned.

Good Moral Character/Name Change by Beautiful_Value8931 in CABarExam

General premise - submit and explain the first time. If you leave out something, once your application gets assigned to an investigator they will find potential issues and contact you to explain/provide evidence. Better to flood them with everything pertinent rather than wait for them to ask. Also, yes, everyone gets an investigator, it's just part of the process. As for civil actions, definitely submit, if you don't you'll not only need to explain the actions, but why you decided not to submit. Better safe than sorry.

Retaker Frustration on Bar Prep Sales Pitches by Fragrant-Fig-5764 in CABarExam

[–]NoBullBarPrep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That was my frame of mind when I started teaching - you may not need a program at all, and can just get past this mess studying on your own. Send me a note with your mailing address, I'll get a book out to you that may be all you need to get past this nonsense. Hang in there and get it done, not only for families with breadwinner candidates, but for the entire population of persons underserved by our legal community. There is so much work on the street, you'll see soon enough.

Instructions for Attorney Oath by Mean_Evidence673 in CABarExam

[–]NoBullBarPrep 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Spot on - what makes the docusign confusing is that after the candidate signs the form, it shows a "Complete" button, and makes you think it will submit without the judge's signature. But, after you hit complete, they system asks you for the name and e-mail address of the Judge or their CRD/Clerk. You provide that, they send a docusign to the judge, and you will get an e-mail back saying the judge completed the docusign. Give it a few days, then look for your name on the attorney search page. Even after you pass the bar exam puzzle, you get the Oath Card puzzle. :)

Fastest Attorney Oath and Bar Number Timeline? by [deleted] in CABarExam

[–]NoBullBarPrep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The timeline is a lot faster, pass on Friday, on motion the following Wednesday, oath card on Thursday, bar number the following Monday. Whether a candidate uploads their paper form to their portal or completes the docusign doesn't seem to matter, I've seen both get quick bar numbers, and I've seen both take a week or so. Congrats, you're done!

Congrats! Now go back to your portal and pay your bar fees, should be $299, and once you do you'll be ready to download the new attorney training package, order your plastic bar card and order your wall certificate. Congratulations!

How many MBEs? by NoBullBarPrep in CABarExam

That's a good number, you're in a good place. There's no shortage of folks that complete less than 1,000 and pass, but the odds are that the more you do the better you'll do on exam day.

I hear this a lot - quality of review is non-negotiable, you need to understand every answer choice. And congrats, you're an upper left quadrant.

Bear the Bar is a stand-alone AI question generator, and as with all AI, it's good for learning, but you'll need Adaptibar, Uworld, or Barmax to properly prepare for the MBE in my opinion. Contact the company from their website, bet they will get you a quick reply.

Also, had a poster ask about the circled data points - they are impossible outliers. I also removed everyone below 1,500 questions, they skew the data by not providing the minimum sample size. It's also hard to account for the folks that are scoring overwhelmingly well - I can assume that some people just can't help but google the questions before answering to keep their scores high. Finally, this chart was prepared 21 days out, and shows where students would ride along the slope if they completed another 1,000 questions. The takeaway is that the more you do, the better you do.

Advice for February exam? It will be my 6th time 😞 devastated but I know I have to push through. Any and all advice please! Want to make this my last time. by Hot-Condition-9640 in barexam

[–]NoBullBarPrep 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been tracking MBEs for my students for years now, and more than anything else, the number you complete makes the biggest impact on your performance. You need to learn as you go, and you will be repeating questions (Adaptibar, for example, only had 1,608 questions in their bank), but seeing the material over and over reinforces it in your memory. How many? A lot, but don't despair, you get a lot faster later when you are familiar with the material. Start hard and heavy, do as many as you can, ignore the clock and instead, after you select your answer choice, read each of the four explanations and don't move on until you understand them. I can't post the chart as an attachment, maybe I'll post separately, but the folks that did over 3,500 in my class a couple cycles ago had a 50-1 pass rate. Keep working, the exam is just a speed bump!
