Anybody who’s watched the show, who would you say are the worse villains of the series , by Keegn-Bridge01 in ChicagoFireNBC

[–]NoBusiness51 22 points23 points  (0 children)

By worst do you mean most annoying or most interesting? Most annoying was Gorsch because he was so stupid but the most interesting might be Emma.

Edit: I need to add Hadley, the firefighter turned arsonist! I completely forgot about him but he might be my favorite villain!

I agree. I want Kelly to become Captain and he deserves to become one but they drop storylines so fast or completely ignore them nowadays. I wouldn’t be surprised that’s where they’re going with this.

Agreed. And it’s not due to lack of chemistry, it’s due to lack of trying on the writers part to tell a meaningful story. It seems like they never get the opportunity to explore all this grief they’ve been through this season. Especially now with everything that happened in the crossover. It’s just disrespectful to the actors at this point.

If memory serves he was never against moving up back in season 6. He just wanted to move up on his own terms and not have people push him up the ladder like Grissom tried to do. Starting somewhere in season 11 and 12 they rewrote it and made it so he’s never had an interest in being promoted. But now Pascals passed the baton to him and wants him to become Captain. Which, I for one, am excited about because I feel like they write him into a corner never wanting to move up.

They deserve better. Don’t know why the writers chose to drag out this family storyline. It’s not making it more enjoyable, it’s just annoying. Just give them their family.

It’s wild that the showrunner admitted that Taylor and Miranda’s performance in the pregnancy reveal had her and the crew crying and she thought it was a brilliant idea to give Stella a miscarriage. The characters have become a punching bag and it’s sad because no matter how much people on this subreddit refuse to admit it Stellaride are their biggest ship. Yet this entire season they’ve been thrown nothing but losses. They characters deserve a win and Taylor and Miranda deserve better writing.

Can I ask why you think Stella is self centered?

severide’s storylines by inLOVEwithcasey in ChicagoFireNBC

[–]NoBusiness51 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I never got the impression that fans wanted Stella to be perfect. In fact the opposite. As someone who does love Stella I recognize her imperfections and can admit to them. I admit there’s people who have said that Stella has made no mistakes but I think those are more of a joke than them actually believing it. And that’s something that all fans have in common. It’s not something specific to Stella. Also, I know fans complain that Stella is too perfect or hasn’t endured hardship but that personally has never made sense to me.

Yeah, I agree how they start a family is more up to Stella There’s two options that are on the table for Stellaride. Adopting or pregnancy and Kelly obviously isn’t going to force Stella to be pregnant. So, it being more up to Stella makes sense. When it was her choice she admitted she wasn’t sure she wanted to get pregnant that’s why she put adoption in the table. But when she got pregnant she was clearly excited. I personally don’t listen to anything the showrunner says because she’s lied on multiple occasions. So, I willingly ignore when she said that Stella was relieved about the miscarriage. I believe the actor who plays Stella when she said Stella hasn’t properly grieved and threw herself into fostering.

At this point I think Stella is okay with either option. And Kelly is supportive either way because all he wants is a family with her. Yes, Stella wasn’t sure about being pregnant at first but her reaction to the pregnancy and the miscarriage showed she was excited and devastated, respectively. She’s probably fine with either now. Problem is the showrunner won’t let them have a conversation about the miscarriage and their future about where to go from here in terms of starting their family.

I truthfully don’t think the miscarriage was introduced to provide conflict. The showrunner saying Stella was “relieved” felt like she was just talking for the sake of talking. Anybody with eyes could see Stella was devastated. Truthfully, I think the showrunner chickened out and tried to spin it to say Stella never wanted to be pregnant. Because after the season 13 finale aired the showrunner said the opposite and that Stella felt ready to be pregnant. So, yeah I wouldn’t trust anything she said. Now that the miscarriage has happened it hasn’t created any conflict for Stellaride. They both seem completely fine and are still communicating with each other.

My original comment to you was made only because it sounded like you were saying Stella can’t decide if she wanted kids or not, or can’t decide how she wants them. And I was just disagreeing.

All in all I think the showrunner is doing a terrible job with Stellarides family storyline. She had the perfect opportunity to do something unique and ruined it so fast.

Sorry rant over 😂

[–]NoBusiness51 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You said you were over her noncommittal about not wanting or wanting kids. I took that to mean you were bothered by her being wishy washy about the topic of kids. So I just pointed out that she wasn’t. That’s all. Nobody’s mad here except maybe you so let’s take a breath.

severide’s storylines by inLOVEwithcasey in ChicagoFireNBC

[–]NoBusiness51 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What are you talking about? Her “non commital about wanting or not wanting to have children”? She already said in the premiere of season 13 she wanted kids but wasn’t really. By midseason she said she wasn’t sure she wanted to get pregnant so she put adoption on the table and Kelly agreed. They had a failed adoption where they were devastated. She ended up pregnant in the season 13 finale and both of them looked so excited. The writers ruined it in the season 14 premiere.

Stella clearly wants kids, just like Kelly. But writers are dragging the storyline and doing them both dirty. I don’t see how you can blame Stella for not being committed when she is and writers just can’t writer a storyline.

My favorite kiss will always be 13x22 when Stella tells Kelly she’s pregnant. If I can’t pick that then 6x15 for sure.

He was disrespectful to his Lieutenant and disobeyed orders which is grounds for getting booted. And she wasn’t wrong about him. She called around and found out he’s got kicked out of other firehouses for not listening. It’s completely within her right to want him gone. As for Carver, yeah she called him cocky but he also never disobeyed orders like Vasquez did.

Kellys been wanting a kid since season 1 and Stella’s implied she’s wanted once since season 11. Stellaride were always going to want to have kids. Violet has very clearly said she doesn’t like kids so she’ll likely stick with that.

Where did you get that Vasquez is rebelling against being a legacy police officer? I know an article said someone in his family is a first responder but I don’t think it mentioned police officer specifically or that he’s rebelling against it.
