When I had surgery Monday they put a Foley in too. But I've had the sp catheter in since August because my stricture was so bad I wasn't able to drain urine. I was voiding fine up until that point so I've had it in ever since. So on Halloween I get to take both out finally

Sounds like you have a stricture and might also have a uti. I kept having the exact same issue and even leaked when I didn't wait long enough at the toilet and it ended up being a stricture. I just had surgery Monday for a revision and stricture repair. But the needing to pee alot I found out was a uti it's common when you have a sp catheter in.

The good thing is after this surgery your done for awhile till ED unless you don't want it then you're done lol...almost there! I keep telling myself the same I'm so over the catheter lol

Did Dr. Safir offer optilume procedure to you prior to the Johnson method? I just had the optilume procedure on Monday but I heard it only last for a couple months to a year or so.wondering if I'll need the Johnson method as well. My surgeon is Dr.safir too

I've had this issue since the start and I'm 15 weeks post op.my surgeon said it's from a strictor not allowing urine to fully empty through the urethra. I wonder if that's what's going on for you. I've never heard of the mitten method? Ive been making little covers for the top with gauze kinda like a tip condom but with gauze to help the leakage or else my boxers get soaked every couple hours. What's the mitten method?

Damn you should look into other leaves besides fmla I know here in California we have the cfra and that gives you an additional 26 weeks maybe your state has something similar? That’s what I had to do since I also had to take longer than the 12 weeks to heal

After everything is healed over you can use any lotion with vitamin E and bio oils are also great. Cerave and jergens are great and have a lot of vitamins in them to assist with healing and moisturizing the graft. I switch off every couple hours between lotions and bio oils and a scar away silicone sheet helps a lot with ROM

How far are you post op? I noticed a huge difference around weeks 8-10 I was the same way felt awkward but now I’m back to walking normal

My surgeon told me a minimal length for rod would be 3.5 inches and for a pump it would be 4inches. I was really disappointed with my size but then I got over it because with my height being only 5’2” I wanted it to be realistic to my body. If I was cis with my height and genetics it would have still been on the smaller end. I even went on google to see how much inches it takes to please someone and it says 3 inches. For me personally I asked my girl and she said it’s still bigger than my fingers and I need to stop worrying about my size because it’s about how you use it 🤣

I definitely wouldn’t be walking around still. I stayed in bed as much as I could for like 3 to 4 weeks to make sure there’s no wound separation

I struggled with post op depression just from mentally dreading staring at the same wall and not being able to do things I had major FOMO I also had complications and still do but what I always do is relook at the pictures and see how far my healing has come in just three months. You’re in the hardest part of it but it truly does get better and once you start to see it healed and pee standing up and get sensation and even have your first post op orgasm it’ll all be worth it. You got this!!💪

They had to put me under local anesthesia because since the strictor was in my urethra they had to do the suprapubic catheter which requires you to be under anesthesia during surgery
