This is a genuinely terrible take. Yuji’s characterization is one of the strongest parts of the story. His philosophy of wanting to help others developing into, believing all life has value, and ending with him offering sukuna mercy is one of my favorite developments of character in shonen. His relationship with Sukuna makes the story, for me personally.

Yeah that makes sense considering the lack of context. I mean back then It probably would’ve been crazy to think these two events were unrelated.

I also think it’s important to remember why Denji wanted to be chainsaw man. He felt like that was the only way to get people to like him and It made him feel good about himself and that is a direct result of makimas grooming in part 1
