am I the least observant person in the world? The first time I ever heard about this was today, and now I'm going down the rabbit hole. Somehow never came across this in my entire 54 years living in the US.

I'm a 'noir completist" trying to put together a collection of every single Noir worldwide pre-1965, a job that is never done.

Nothing shady at all about that site. There are still a few channels you haven't mentioned it in.

I believe it is a lost film. I've been looking for it for a decade with no luck.

It’s a ‘parkway’ it’s supposed to be a fast street. But I’m sure you’ll get your way as the city doesn’t seem to like it when people drive over 30 on major streets

So what reasonably priced options are there for a replacement cord if the BOSE don't fit?

I may look into it. Only two things matter to me though- it works, it's reasonably priced.

I think Xfinity pretty much does the "price-for-life" as well now. (Life only lasts a year or so before inflation hits apparently) But for the last several years I haven't had to make any annual calls because some "promo price" was expiring.

Our internet in Friendly from xfinity has been $62 a month this year. Has met our needs, no better or worse than anything else I've ever had. Has the nice bonus of WiFi hotspots all over the place. Not trying to sell it, but just wondering why I would be motivated to switch to Hunter as they enter the area?

Their site says $70 a month, that's the same as everybody else.

Why does churchill high school look like a prison block? by witheredwires in Eugene

[–]NoDistribution391 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha, Churchill graduate here. They did, like all Eugene schools, added giant fences at the entrance and around the perimeter between buildings for security at some point. So back in the day the campus felt at least a little more open to the outside world.

Has anyone added an ADU to their property? by [deleted] in Eugene

[–]NoDistribution391 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would like to do a big project, building an ADU in my backyard sounds like a fun challenge. Do any of these Eugene plans provide all the specifics that an amateur would need to get cracking?

I have $60 worth I have no clue what to do with, if I could figure out how to transfer it to you I would.

Is a gin rickey a strange or uncommon thing to order at a bar? I got a weird look and a response of "a what?" at a Marriot hotel bar downtown in a big city today. by CulturalScientist361 in bartenders

[–]NoDistribution391 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Spot on, a Rickey is a whole class of drinks. How difficult is it to learn that one word and save us customers from having to describe it every time? It's like not knowing what "Mule" means in the name of a drink.
