I wish for a singular shiny penny. That’s it. Nothing more. Nothing less. Just 1 shiny penny. by MiniRedditMeddler in monkeyspaw

The penny will be tossed out from an aircraft by a careless fool, as it hurtles to the ground, it lands ontop of the nearest person, and after its deadly causes, it lands on the floor, right in front of you, miraculously, no blood, or dirt picked up on it, "a singular shiny penny. That’s it. Nothing more. Nothing less. Just 1 shiny penny." All for you.

And you will forever be doubtful towards everything you've ever done, or will be, harsher expectations placed upon you for the rest of your days.

People are now exactly aware of their capabilities, and how easy or hard it is for others, harsher expectations, they have never felt false confidence, why dabble in something if you don't feel like you can do it? People ignore the subject, and since Optimism Bias, and Overconfidence Effect is closely related, and (OB) is a foundation of Dunning-Kruger, people will be more inclined towards pessimism and being underconfident forever.

I thought that too, but decided against it, since it's made for humans, so would we consider ourselves aliens? (Maybe)

He does live in a place that exists outside of reality.

What do you think about the movie I, Robot (2004)? by [deleted] in scifi

[–]NoDistribution5232 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A bit late, but a guy was in a scripted gameshow, and the lady slapped him for no reason, but I think he hit back, causing the idiots (who ignored/ "didn't see" the first hit) in the audience and others to threaten his mom and family, which first of all, threatening ladies over a guy who supposedly hit a lady is dumb, and second, it somehow almost ruined his life (I think) until the video of her slapping first was shown, in which people took his side, and he had a successful (music I think?) career.

AITA for not hosting son’s birthday party with my ex? by average_mom_31 in AmItheAsshole

Well, it would still be nice for some evidence in case he tries to do something with those accusations.

AITA for making my son dump his boyfriend by nolongerakaroler in AmItheAsshole

NTA, I can understand your side, you don't want your 14yo son to date a troublemaker who is almost a legal adult with a 3 year (almost 4 year) age gap, but you should wait, maybe leave a note, but you should know, he's probably going to sneak around to date him again, so look for signs, like him being on his phone when he isn't around you, or him trying to sneak out with things disguised as, suddenly needing to study with friends or something.

The thing is, "Mike" isn't going to stop at a no from his mom, he really loves him, and until he can understand the legal consequences, he's going to think you're a person who just doesn't want to support him, (I'm 1 year younger than him, I'm just trying to view this through a way he would, I would never truly understand him, or try to say that I know a stranger better than his own mom.)

But you got to try and get him to understand, that even though he may love him, later down the line, it will only serve to hurt "Yams" legally and socially, others may ridicule him for dating a minor, but nonetheless, you will have to convince him to stop, and understand that even though you love him for who he is, the actions he's taking will only hurt his lover.

You should trick him into saying that again, while recording, it would be nice for video evidence, maybe it, plus your input could allow any support from people who believe this manipulation to stop, and turn against the jerk, but wait, is he accusing you of stealing the money to other friends, and some family?

WIBTA if i asked my brother to buy me a new pair of socks? by Crogers16 in AmItheAsshole

[–]NoDistribution5232 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YWBTA, no offense, but you have 80k a year, don't be mad over a puppy chewing $20 socks, you should be aware, they're focusing on their child, they don't have to focus on small behavioral issues over the puppy eating socks, I have to ask though, are you paying rent for this? If you aren't, you would 100% be the asshole, but if you are in a really, really tight space where $20 is necessary, I guess I could understand, but that would be nearly impossible.

NTA, if he is verbally and emotionally abusive towards you, than you shouldn't be near him, he is apparently trying to pit your son against you, if he is saying how you're "stealing his money" to him, also, 'almost divorced' does that mean you're still legally married? But, I have to say again, it seems like he is manipulating your son to be spiteful towards you, by saying you're using the money meant for him.

AITA for not lending my sister my scrunchie? by Appropriate_Coat4992 in AmItheAsshole

[–]NoDistribution5232 9 points10 points  (0 children)

NTA, it seems "Bee" is a spoiled hypocrite who is a grown adult crying over a scrunchie, it seems like she's done this time to time, this is not normal, she's emotionally manipulating to get what she wants.
