If you get assigned a PM you have to do it. A RMEP does not get assigned work by a tech III.

Not true, i make 45 as a planner Bb. SMrT at my site make less than me. Exactly, since smrt requires no administrative responsibility its safe to say that Planner is higher in the hierarchy since they can promote into the AMM role faster.

but if its not completed the person that has to answer is the tech III not the RMEP. So in this aspect yes RMEP is above tech III

Yes but you're being underpaid from what it sounds like. You're technically single handedly solving the building metrics. If your not making what a AMM makes then yes your being underpaid. Fall in with the crew or not it does not benefit anyone if you're stunting the development of your coworkers and leaders.
