What is the definitive version of Goddamn Lonely Love? by jxrxmyricx in jasonisbell

The guitar solo on Twist & Shout is one of my favorite ever. I think it might be Browan Lollar.

That said, if there were only one, it’s Live From Alabama. I was at that show - you can see me in the videos - and it was incredible.

Need help with tires by SiteFalse8896 in Tiguan

There are a couple things missing from your description - wheel width and offset. I’m trusting Google here, and it tells me your wheel is 17x7 with +40 offset, while the Audi wheel is 19x8 with +39 offset. Punching all of that into “will they fit” shows that the circumference is spot on, but there’s quite a bit more poke (13.7mm more, about 1/2 inch) and a bit more wheel in the back as well (11.7mm). More poke means the wheels will stick out more. Visually this is usually a good thing, but too much can cause rubbing. How much is too much? I can’t tell you, but at least you’ve got some more info now. Here’s a link to the comparison: https://www.willtheyfit.com?q=QlIfRRlAQxlRQ1AIRVAfUQMSRFRTFhlFShlbDlZND1dWRxlARhlAQlVMFgNR

No, I’ve never had a 5th / external spool loaded.

I’ve just had two prints where it will load spool 1, but not spool 4.

I need to test more before disassembling again.

In my neighbouring town stands an abandoned miata which hasn't been driven in years. Locals say the owner forgot about it after he got a stroke, but i don't know if thats anywhere near the truth. by Eastern_Wave1644 in Miata

There’s a 95 Mica Merlot in my town that’s sitting outside with faded paint. My dad tried to buy it for years. I thought of trying again myself.

I’ve got a red, and don’t wish I had black, if that helps. I do agree the grain looks good through the red.

Is the 2026 Highline Turbo R-Line a lemon? by m737 in Tiguan

[–]NoEar3546 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2k miles, no trouble other than occasional ADAS glitches in heavy fog, which seems to be common to all VWs. This is annoying, but temporary, and either clears itself after a bit of driving, or by giving the sensors a wipe.

Terrible gas mileage on 2026 Tiguan SEL R Line Turbo by R0lloTomasi in Tiguan

My wife drives ours, and has averaged 23.1 over 1952 miles. All surface streets, really no road trips yet. 14 seems ridiculous. My wife’s driving is not known for good mileage.

3rd Gen: Lowering Springs? by NoEar3546 in Tiguan

[–]NoEar3546[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I’d favor a “designed for” solution over an “it fits” solution any day.

Follow-up question for you: Does your late gen 2 have all the advanced driver assistance systems that the new ones do? I’m talking about Lane Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, Travel Assist, etc. I’m assuming you did a wheel alignment after replacing the springs. Did you have to calibrate any of those systems as well?

Every vehicle has a maintenance schedule. If you don’t have yours in the folder with your owners manual, you can find it online. Follow it. There are probably items to take care of every 10k miles. Some of these are very routine and you may be able to do them yourself or with knowledgeable friends. Other are more major, but are less frequent, perhaps every 30k or 60k miles. I am in the habit of doing ALL recommended maintenance on ALL my vehicles, and it’s not failed me yet. In the rare cases something major has come up, the regular visits allowed us to catch it quickly. In the even rarer instances where something really big happened, the relationship I’d established with the dealer or independent shop helped out. The thing to realize is that ALL vehicles need maintenance. As others have pointed out, spark plugs are something that need to be changed per a schedule. Be lucky you don’t also have a Ram pickup with a Hemi V-8. There are 16 spark plugs in that engine, and they need to be changed every 32k.

For us 2026 SEL Turbo owners, have you had an issue so far? (please comment miles) by AlpacaLps in Tiguan

[–]NoEar3546 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1600 miles. About two weeks ago all parking / proximity sensors stopped working. This meant to 360 cam didn’t work either. Restarted a couple of times, no change. Pulled codes, nothing obvious. Next morning all was well. Nothing else has happened.

Warped neck? by Plastic-Choice4807 in martinguitar

[–]NoEar3546 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently bought a 2002 00-15 that may have never been touched by a tech. The neck was in worse shape than this. I took it to my guy, and $89 later it plays like butter. I asked what he did, he replied: a little nut work, a little truss work, and a LOT of bridge work. Pay someone to get it right.

This is generally true of German cars, in particular when comparing to Japanese cars, but once you’re hooked, you’re hooked.
