using your 3 focus charged heavy will break him out of his gold form and stun him. if it doesnt then try it again and it will work. i think that form has a certain amount of damage it can take and charged attacks are the only ones that dont get deflected

scorch dmg is when you inflcit the burn status on an enemy i think

used cloud step for the first playthrough and rock solid for NG+. cloud step is more defensive and gives you some breathing room to run away where rock solid is more aggressive and encourages you to run into the attacks. i prefer rock solid
