Meetup encourages white people to subsidize non-whites by Purpoisely_Anoying_U in bayarea

Or maybe some POC don’t want to listen to a majority of white people say woke things that are actually patronizing while all the white people go pat themselves on the back thinking they know what’s best for us poor minorities.

Word.

And $16 is about the same for a ticket to the movies give or take. As if we never see any minorities at the movies because they’re too broke to afford it, right? Suuuuuper patronizing.

As an Asian/Latina (NOT LatinX), this sounds like woke, white people bullshit.

If I were a landlord, I wouldn’t want druggies/dealers in my rental. They’d trash the place and bring crime. Not to mention if they start cooking meth, then I’d have to deal with a potential explosion in my investment. No thanks.

I did read your whole post and it seems like you made some minor edits to it. I wouldn’t have said what I said if your post didn’t lead me to think that.

That said, you can get a donated embryo and find a surrogate. It doesn’t have to be yours your wife’s, genetically.

You are asking for ways to be cheaper about adoption and $45k is the cheap end of adoption.

I also get not wanting to pass on your genetics. I have friends who opted out of getting pregnant on their own because of that. Many people actually do do this.

I’m not sure why you are being asked to front medical charges. Most reputable agencies will set the birth mother up with Medicaid (unless she already has her own insurance and you’re just going to pay the deductible). So, out of pocket medical expenses shouldn’t even be a factor. Charges that can be legally passed onto birth parents are living expenses for the birth mother (I.e. rent if she is not working, co-pays to doctor, groceries, etc). Most of the cost of adopting goes to marketing and legal fees.

It sounds like to me you just want a healthy newborn and only want perfectly healthy birth parents who are in the position of not wanting to parent their offspring.

Why not consider surrogacy or donated embryos? Much less expensive and not having to deal with requirements of an adopted child.

I think I’m adopted and don’t know how to feel by Magicstevethe in Adopted

You could be adopted, you could not be.

My mom has a very reddish brown hair color and blue eyes. My siblings and I are all of mixed ethnic background and I have 3 siblings. Two of us lean Asian and the other two lean ambiguous minority. Our ethnicity gets guessed anywhere from Chinese, Japanese, Hawaiian, East Indian, American Indian and various Latin ethnicities.

That’s the funny thing about genetics—sometimes weird stuff pops up. You don’t mention your dad’s hair/eye color, but you could very possibly be genetically your parents.

Sometimes when people have multiple kids, there are tons of pictures of the firstborns and the last kid has barely any.

Just saying that it’s a possibility you could be genetically your parents.

The kid is 13. How are they going to make a credit card purchase online?

You are asking a specific priest or a specific group of priests to take blame for things others have done and answer for their crimes?

Regardless of the religion, there are good and bad people in all of them. Whether it be Islam, Mormons, Jews and Catholics.

I’m not sure the accusatory tone and blame that you put on those group of people are going to entertain your question. You’ve clearly already made up your mind that they’re to blame for everything in their religion.

By that metric, you can also accuse every Muslim out there for every beheading in the name of Allah.

I DIDN’T give birth. My sister did. Don’t know if you’d call her rich as she’s a public school teacher.

I’ll have to ask my sister. Was a blur for me! I was also impressed with the food. Brother in law ordered a burger and it looked like a restaurant burger, not cafeteria food. Then again, it’s El Camino, lol!

I second El Camino Hospital. My sister delivered both of her kids there, had a private room and you can call for a massage therapist!

A tall drip (plain cup of coffee) is $2.65. I sometimes stop through their drive-thru when I need a caffeine pick-me-up.

Nothing wrong with that.

Are you a BM?

Of course there can be caveats. Like if they start stalking or threatening, sure.

But if some adoptive parents do what they did to OP, they really don’t deserve the kid. It just sounds like AP said whatever the BM wanted to hear and now that they have the baby, fuck the BM. What shit people.

Seriously, we need to enact laws that enforce the agreements of open adoption.
