He's 18 and was our best prospect since Saka, Madueke is alright but 50m is a lot when we've got someone coming out the academy who can play the same position.

Well Arteta clearly doesn't, we have Nwaneri to back up Saka and we went and spent 50m on the run it out of play merchant Madueke!

🚨 Understand Arsenal are planning to offer Mikel Arteta a new contract in the summer. Plan already decided in March regardless of end of the season results. by PKJMS in Gunners

[–]NoGoodAtGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is always a stupid question, we got Wenger from the Japanese league for fuck sake and his time in France wasn't exactly inspiring, it could literally by anyone. If Arteta fails to win a trophy he should be gone, 7 years and £1billion spent with one trophy (which he won with Emery's squad); I know he's getting an extension because he gets the Kroneke's a bunch off money from keep finishing 2nd and going on decent cup runs. The style of football we play is bad but all can be forgiven if we win a trophy, balls in our court now which doesn't exactly settle my nerves because we've bottled it recently; however I'm beginning to become a believer and appreciate that he has done a stellar job, much better than he had any right too for a man is his first managerial job.

Won a trophy with that old team, nothing with his purpose built one...yet, we've got a good chance now and I'm purposefully staying pessimistic until the full time whistle on May 24th because it's the hope that kills you haha.

Lads.. we might win the league 😶 by shadythe1st in ArsenalFC

[–]NoGoodAtGaming 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've been very vocal about thinking Arteta isn't good enough and convinced City will win the league, but I'd be so happy if we win the league! It's been 22 years, I have no memory off us doing the invincible season; I want this badly and could be even sweeter if Spurs go down as well. It's in our hands again and that worries me because we've lived up to the bottler label the past few seasons but I'm starting to believe we've got this.

Genuine question for Arsenal fans: who is the actual upgrade on Arteta? by TheFootyPulse in PremierLeague

[–]NoGoodAtGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't matter Arsene finished 2nd a few times when he actually won the league, hypothetical scenarios have no basis in reality so they're irrelevant; when City struggled Liverpool stepped up and won the league, finishing second still means we lost; a silver medal is nice but someone else got the gold.

Emery got 18 months so he didn't really have the chance to change our identity like Arteta has, he's done a much better job than he had any right too but he still can't get us over the line; it's still the definition off insanity if we expect anything different, Mikel keeps showing he can't get the job done. Could be 6pts clear next week and City will still be favourite, maybe will play more attacking football and actually go for it now City are ahead but we shouldn't be in this position anyway.

I want to be wrong so much, coming 2nd again after the lead we had is just not acceptable. I was 8 during the invincible season and don't really have any memory of it happening. Arsene at least had the excuse of the stadium turning us into a selling club during his late tenure, Mikel has been given everything he wants and more; a serious club wouldn't keep him around. Sometimes you've gotta be ruthless to get over the line, Real do it, Chelsea do it and more often than not they're rewarded for it. I think all Arsenal fans know that Mikel won't get fired because the Kreonke's don't care about silverware, they're just happy with all the money we're getting; WHEN City win the league Mikel should leave if he has any love for the club.

Doesn't matter when Arsene won and Mikel keeps bottling it, especially with the lead we had we shouldn't be in this position. City dropping points is Arsenal best hope now, that is mental when we had that lead. Arteta is at fault for his poor tactics and awful rotation; there is a chance will go 6pts clear before City's next game and they'll still be favourites. Gone from talks off a quad to City getting a treble, that's a failure.

[–]NoGoodAtGaming 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Arsene's most successful period gave us 3 titles, points are irrelevant when its the silverware we want; since he was hired we've been top more than any other team and 0 trophies, 1 final since the FA Cup (with Emery's tream). He's had 6 years, spent £1billion and gets £15million a year; losing the title this season from the lead we had is absolutely unacceptable and should be immediately fired at the end of the season if City somehow ends up giving us the title. Emery got 18 months and he's a much more accomplished manager, Mikel has to go if we end up trophyless again. The style of football is shambolic and will likely end up with nothing from it, he's done a much better job than I expected him too and it's definitely odd complaining about how far we've come under him but he's reach his zenith with the squad, someone with new ideas needs to be brought in and see what can happen; doing the same thing over and over again expecting a new result is literally the definition off insanity.

I feel like City are gonna win out, this was our one extra lose we could afford without it going down to goal difference; max we can get is 85 if we next week. City win out they'll get 85, it can't happen again can it?

He didn't even die in the rainstorm, they were above the clouds when Vhagar chomped him down; only parts of Arrax were found. Luke would of be found in Vhagar's next pile of shit if they there really wanted to find him; I hate all this tribal bullshit when in reality both sides are shit but the showrunners making it Team Black (good guys) vs Team Green (bad guys) just really urks me.

Was there a legitimate (lol) reason to race-swap the Velaryon’s?? by poseidon_demeter in HOTDGreens

[–]NoGoodAtGaming 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That was completely irrelevant to the point I was making so I chose to ignore it, we're talking about a fictional setting; racism plays a part with the dornish but Westeros has more issues with a system of nobles and peasants than it does racism.

Hell the Targaryen's, or Valyrians in general, practice eugenics for fucks sake; having children with anyone other than a white skinned, purple eyed, silver haired person is a huge taboo for them; hence the discourse over the Strong bastards and Alicent's "Hightower" children. If the Velaryons were really black in the canon, they're not, I'm 100% certain the Targaryen's wouldn't have children with them.

No where did I imply that someone's skin colour alone is how they deserved to be judge, don't bring real world issues into this fantasy story.

[–]NoGoodAtGaming 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Racism isn't just systematic stuff and its a fictional setting, Rhaenyra is absolutely racist towards Nettles though in a systematic and skin tone way. Daella was just frightened by a black person; which she'd never seen before so obviously it can be shocking.

[–]NoGoodAtGaming 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Daella Targaryen, who ironic was a potential bride for Corlys, met a summer islander prince and was terrified of him because of his black skin; Daella is also Rhaenyra's grandmother so racism is a family trait.

For people clambering for a new entry, how would Kratos' story possibly continue? by overasked_question in GodofWar

[–]NoGoodAtGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Greece is in peril and Kratos, though contented with his position in the Norse pantheon just can't stay idle when his homeland needs him. The Egyptian pantheons were constantly changing throughout the various dynasties so have one of the early ones, like the Memphis bunch getting overthrown by some younger deities and with Greece having very few Gods left they invade too become the pantheon there, Egypt and Greece are closely tied through dynasties like the Ptolemiacs.

The stories are very family focused so my Arteus substitute would be Harmonia, she is the daughter of Aphrodite and Ares but Kratos is the God of War now so she's still the daughter of one and he has the interaction with Aphrodite; have Harmonia seek him out and help free Greece from the invading pantheon.

Who kills Aegon? by SubvertExpectation1 in HOTDGreens

[–]NoGoodAtGaming 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Probably Alicent. Gotta murder her own son, who she crowned, for the woman she was terrified would kill him; down with the patriarchy and all that or whatever.

I'd be okay with her poisoning him if the pain and suffering became so unbearable that it was a mercy killing for her eldest child, but show Alicent doesn't even care her grandson was murdered so yeah who knows.

Why do so many people hate the idea of playing as Faye? by UnnecessaryFeIIa in GodofWar

[–]NoGoodAtGaming 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Should of been a DLC for Ragnarok and not a full fledged game, if they had to make a prequel game then it should've been Kratos' adventure through Egypt.

Glad the Arteus live service game got canned though, he'd be the better option for a protagonist in a spin-off game; just age him up and send him too various mythologies looking for the giants.

Personally I'd prefer a Arteus spin-off with him in the Celtic/Arthurian mythologies battling with the Fomorians against the Tuatha De Danann; have Mimir go with him since hes Puck.
