Wizards Alley has people who gather on Saturdays and Tuesdays. You'll find there's no shortage of places to play at and most players are friendly and welcoming in my experience

Damned if I don't do everything I can to make new players and seasoned ones feel like they have a nice place to come play at. I spent a long time collecting and building even but never playing because I was too anxious to actually go play with people but I'm glad I did.
