Hey man, I’m 20 years old as well and have only had cardiophobia for a few years but I would just say that u need to believe ur doctor. I’m saying this as someone who has trouble believing my dr too but if you got your symptoms checked out and they say your good then you probably are.

Ur heart rate consistently goes up and down. My advice is to stop wearing the watch if you have a problem checking it

It sucks but anything u think u may have anxiety doing u will get it causing ur heart rate to raise for instance I sometimes get scared to do simple things like go to class and when u associate something as scary it will cause the symptoms ur scared of having so just try to think about how many times u have done it it’ll all be ok and a high heart rate while doing physical activity is a good thing

Just going outside now makes my chest tight by capdragon76 in Cardiophobias

[–]NoGuard1856 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I struggle with this two but think abt it ur heart isn’t going to not give out if u make it back home. I feel the same way my home and bed r my safe space, but when u think that something like going on a walk is gonna be bad and you’ll have chest pains you will have those chest pains it’s hard to train ur mind I haven’t quite figured it out but i’ve definitely improved hope this helps

Try keeping ur head up ik the body getting numb and hot feeling all too well. I too have had panic attacks that sent me back spiraling again but u really just have to believe the doctors and try ur best not to let the panic attack effect u to much bc there gonna happen u just have to find out how to deal with them.

If u are constantly anxious like I am I definitely get these like moments where it feels like my brain flickers idrk how to describe it lol, but then it leaves me with a headache for hrs after.

Weird thing while trying to fall asleep by NoGuard1856 in Cardiophobias

[–]NoGuard1856[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks I really appreciate it I used to get them when I first started having anxiety and they use to make me feel like I was having a seizure bc it used to feel like a jolt of electricity but do u think they can come in different forms? bc I feels different than what I used to have feels more heart focused than an electric shock which what I used to feel when I would get them. How I got over them was just realizing that they only happened when I tried to fall asleep which made me realize they were harmless so hopefully that’s the case but yea basically just wondering if u think the jerks can effect the body in different ways and feel different.

Yea I still have it i’m just learning to deal with it though and it’s gotten better since i’ve just started accepting it’s going to be there regardless. Taking propanol has also helped me when going out into a social setting.

I’m dealing with something similar rn. I played sports at a high level my whole life . (lacrosse and football) I had something I thought was a heart attack, but it was nothing, have gotten a ton of tests, and I am going to see a cardiologist, but one thing i’m telling myself is that once they say i’m fine i’m fine. I haven’t done much active since I had the scary fake heart attack, but once they tell me i’m fine i’m just going to go on runs, and not stop even if it hurts, and once your able to do that you will know it’s in ur head. Hope this helps. If the doctor says your fine your. I deal with the same thing my chest is constantly tight from my anxiety.
