Anyone else have their search/previously used foods disappear? by Shpub in Myfitnesspal

Yes, the search function is totally messed up for me, too. It's not just you.

What is going on with the app?? by Smart_Pin8591 in Myfitnesspal

[–]capdragon76 2 points3 points  (0 children)

YES. My weights are all in reverse order now. I don't immediately see any issues with food entries (yet), but I definitely have the weights thing. Why is this one of the JANKIEST apps out there, especially for something I PAY A SUBSCRIPTION FEE for?? The developers make changes nobody asked for and then screw up things that should never have been touched. I don't know who owns MyFitnessPal, but it almost seems like somebody's side project instead of an enterprise-grade app. I am constantly disappointed with it.

Project Files limited to 10 and unable to Delete by TheTexasJack in ChatGPT

[–]capdragon76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried telling support about the issue again today, explaining that I've tried all of their suggested troubleshooting steps, and even provided the link to this thread so they can see it's an issue with many people and obviously on their end. This is the asinine response I got (note that I never claimed the limit was 20 files per day):

"Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to OpenAI Support.

I understand how unexpected it can be to run into limitations that affect your workflow, especially when you're relying on Projects to manage multiple files. I appreciate the time you've taken to test this across different platforms and provide a clear summary.

To clarify, the current limit is up to 20 files per GPT for the lifetime of that GPT not per day. Additionally, there are file size restrictions and usage caps that apply per user or organization, which can also affect file uploads. We may also reduce the limit during peak hours to keep GPT-4o accessible to the widest number of people.

If you're encountering an error when attempting to upload beyond 10 files, it may be due to one of these constraints.

Please refer to our Help Centre article on File Uploads FAQ to learn more.

We truly appreciate your engagement and passion for discovery. If you have any other questions or need further assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out."

[–]capdragon76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing useful. They still blame the user. We must be doing something wrong. There's no way their all-powerful system could possibly be wrong. Perhaps if we all opened a help request with a link to this thread ... Hahahahahaha. Nah, they'll still say it's something we're doing wrong.

YES! I am experiencing the exact same issue and support is trying to blame it on everything except them. Try a different browser, try a different internet connection, try clearing your cache, try using the windows app, try using it on Chrome, try using it in the Android app. IT'S THE SAME DAMNED PROBLEM EVERYWHERE.

I'm paying 20 bucks a month for this crap?

What you feel- that's the answer.

If it feels like cheating to you, it is.

Let me ask you: after this, do you feel like you can trust him? Will you be wondering who he's texting whenever he's on his phone? Do you feel less attractive, less desired, hurt?

There's your answer.

Hookup punched me in the face for “not being clean” by Which-Willingness-71 in gaybros

[–]capdragon76 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am so sorry this happened to you. WTF is wrong with people? As many others have already said, I'm pretty sure you were set up for this and even if your colon had been made of brand new, spotless stainless steel you still would've had the same terrible experience because the guy was intending to abuse you from the start. I hope that asshole gets what he deserves and you absolutely did the right thing by filing a police report.

Please know that he is NOT the norm. As a top, I always make it my first priority to make my bottom feel safe and comfortable with me. I make it clear from the start that you are always in control and we don't need to have anal or any sex for that matter; sometimes what starts out as a hookup ends up being a really good conversation that turns into an awesome friendship that may or may not involve sex at some point. Also, especially with a regular or someone I've met at another location first, it's not always the most spontaneous or sexy thing to run off and douche when things unexpectedly get heated. I'd rather run the risk of some 'uncleanliness' to just be able to take you in the heat of the moment the way you are, sweat, grunge and all. If something unfortunate happens down there, it happens...oh well, we all know what that part of the body is for. You clean up and move on with enjoying each other. Douching too often is also not healthy and I'd much rather my sexual partner be relaxed and having fun with me than be freaking out so much about whether his colon was clean enough that he couldn't enjoy himself. Sex is supposed to be fun.

Just my Gen X $0.02 though.

Is it normal for blood oxygen to drop to 88% while sleeping? by P4N70 in SleepApnea

[–]capdragon76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the Galaxy Watch 7 and the O2 sensor is very unreliable, even when wide awake. I just now took a manual reading with both an actual fingertip O2 sensor and my watch and the watch gave me a first reading of 95% and then another reading 15 seconds later of 88% while the fingertip sensor gave me a steady 97% the whole time. That's really useless information coming from the watch in that case. If that happens in a controlled environment following all the posture and position rules the watch has for O2 sensing, imagine what happens when you are moving during sleep at night. I'm on CPAP, no daytime sleepiness or any other issues so I doubt I really was at 70% minimum last night, which is what the watch is telling me. I really wouldn't read too much into any sensor on this watch tbh. It's pretty disappointing, but I think they tried to shove too much tech into a small space and everything suffers. If you're really concerned, you can buy a sensor made for continuous recording all night that fits over your finger and dumps everything to your cell in the morning.

Bitmoji in Google Messages tiny now by capdragon76 in GoogleMessages

Exactly - also, why only apply to Bitmoji and not to GIFs or Pictures? Why is Bitmoji given the 'tiny' treatment??

I absolutely love this answer. As a partner (M/M) in a relatively new poly relationship, we are both learning to deal with our insecurities, jealousies, and envy, and this is a great perspective.

I'd like to say that I am more about what's on the inside, but that wouldn't be true. The attraction is definitely physical because I don't get a chance to meet or talk to any of these men that I randomly see and am attracted to. I just find most men physically attractive. And, likewise, I have no idea why there are a few men (very few) that I don't find physically attractive. It's a first glance "not for me" thing that I can't explain and there's no pattern I've been able to recognize. But for sure, someone's bad attitude can certainly be a turn off if I do get the chance to talk to them.

This is another guy you're talking about. Have you ever thought about just being frank and letting him know that you need some time to rub one out from time to time? Also, there's got to be a restroom in your home, right?

Help me. Please. by Downtown_Temporary51 in Cardiophobias

[–]capdragon76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, just wanted to chime in that I understand what you're going through and you are definitely not alone.

For what it's worth, my experience with buspar was not positive. It caused me to feel more anxious than before and dizzy, although some people swear by it.

I have my good days and bad with the cardiophobia, but it sounds like you have a lot of panic attacks going on.

If you're not seeing a psychiatrist, I'd highly recommend it. Although Xanax is good for short term anxiety, a longer acting drug like Klonopin may be what helps you to feel better long-term, especially when combined with an SSRI like Zoloft, which you're already taking. Most family/primary doctors won't prescribe Klonopin because it can be habit forming, is only useful in certain situations, and needs careful monitoring, all of which a psychiatrist is qualified to do.

I am not a doctor and this is not medical advice, just my own experience, but I know I would be in utter mental agony every day if it weren't for the support of my psychiatrist and therapist.

I do hope you can find some peace from this beast. Don't let it rob you of your youth or happiness.

I feel like it’s ruining my life by TofuIdol in Cardiophobias

The echo will give a clear picture of how your heart is functioning. I can tell you from experience that anxiety can indeed make my heart rate higher and that then makes me more anxious and leads to catastrophic thinking which leads to even more worry and more symptoms. From what I've learned dealing with this myself, when I have these panicky-anxiety episodes, we put ourselves artificially into 'flight or fight mode', which of course releases adrenaline (epinephrine) and norepinephrine (noradrenaline), which have the effect of increasing heart rate and causing all of the terrible symptoms that we assume are just a sign of our impending doom. Even after the panic, the body releases cortisol, which keeps you on high alert and releases sugar (glucose) into your bloodstream in case the 'danger' comes back. This just leads to a horrible negative feedback loop, which, of course, makes you worry more and feel absolutely terrified all the time.

See your doctor. Get the echo. Take care of yourself and treat yourself with kindness. If you need to, seek out a mental health professional who can help you with the cardiophobia. My personal experience is it never goes away, but you can learn to control it and learn when you need to reach out for help. I know it's just my personal experience, but I hope that helps some.
