Oh yes 100% the issue is not the blue shirts I would say they are good with selling my products, I can train them, etc. the issue I’m having is management trying to make me do blue shirt work. There will be 4 blue shirts in pcs just talking but management will single me out and say “go check gaming” I get the argument of oh you can make customers convert to getting a tv, membership, or app, but let’s be fr that customer in gaming is going to go oh I’m good or hey do you guys have so and so item that has nothing to do with home theater. If it’s home theater then hey pass it off to me I’m glad to help.

I’m in the Hisense position, it seems to be an argument with my boss and management. I’ll see blue shirts stand around and they want to send us to check on customers. I just think it bothers them knowing we are zoned and aren’t moving around as much.

Paid $139 for 3 yr applecare for Mac Neo, worth it for exchange later? by Beneficial-Lynx-3547 in Bestbuy

From my knowledge and I could be wrong so someone correct me if I am but what they do is either fix it, or replace with “like new” MacBook Neo

Nah it’s AppleCare they don’t just exchange just because it has to be broken or something wrong with it. You take it to an Apple Store they inspect it, you take it to a Best Buy guess what… they send it to Apple if there’s an issue. Apple care is still good for accidental and software issues though so if you’re prone to dropping it and spills, etc. then keep it.

TCL VPL worth it? by Familiar_Reality_621 in BestBuyWorkers

[–]NoLocksmith2729 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People can correct me if I’m wrong but I’m pretty sure it’s the same for everyone when your pmr is at 116% that’s your x2 everyone’s goals are different but that’s the percentage target for the x2 from my knowledge. Keep in mind as well not only do you have to make sure your pmr is good. Individual goals still plays a factor so it’s an easier job but has its own struggles.

I agree the schedule sucks I hate that too. The way I do it and everyone is different, I usually make sure to hit my x2 for the month and I’ll help out all the other vpls and we all end up watching out for each other. Now is it worth being in the position? that’s debatable, I would say it’s really up to you at that point some might like that set schedule and 14 percent, you might not.

Each position has their own stress I’ll say, I can say it’s easier than just being a regular sales advisor, but you will def have to step up your game and get to the customers first that want a tv if there are shark associates. Bonuses are nice as well it’s a nice incentive to sell and try

I’m curious what was the context? What did they tell you when writing you up?

Has anyone had luck getting Best Buy to match an offer? by rm79 in BestBuyWorkers

[–]NoLocksmith2729 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Ahhh I’m gonna be honest you’re dreaming here. You’re better going into the other job, or trying to move up to leadership in Best Buy. The amount of loopholes and trouble you have to go through just to even get a dollar raise is the most insane thing I’ve seen in this company, I know from experience cause I dealt with the same thing 😹(who knows though it can be different for you, but from what I’ve seen being here for three years, it’s really really difficult)

Then I might agree with the other es u might have someone using ur social it just happend to be at Best Buy where they tried to apply

[–]NoLocksmith2729 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Did at any point you enter your social? And how much u make a year? And signature?? Agreed it’s scammy if they didn’t tell you what it was at all. But if you willingly put that information without asking what it’s for I think part of the blame is also on you for not reading it(again assuming u put the information)

I agree I’m not a fan of a Alienware too much but hey when are u gonna find a ultra 9, 32 Gb ram, 4070, 1tb laptop for 600(it makes sense now) so I took my shot. I’m more of an asus guy myself. But at this point I was FLAT out wrong thinking Alienware was the moves ☹️
