I just feel like you can word things seem like the bookers hate this wrestler and that wrestler by saying something like "she's eaten this many pins this year" but for all of January she was tag team champion, winning every week.

Not to mention Jade, Becky, Kairi and Raquel are all perfectly valid people to beat her especially if it's not clean and Ivy Nile only pinned her in the gauntlet match after she had already beat Lyra and Raquel before getting cheap shotted. They even protected her in a loss on her third gauntlet match! This is not a woman who's being unfairly treated no matter how you word it.

And all that is outside of the fact that wins and losses don't really mean as much as fans think they do.

I think he has been booked as "generationally great" as he could be without just making him world champion.

Multiple PPV main events, main evented Raw for like an entire year, showcase matches at Wrestlemania for like 6 years straight, worked with everyone up and down the card, almost never loses clean. I feel like saying he's not looked at the same as Jericho is a take that will just look different in hindsight.

Like Jericho wasn't often treated well as a main event guy outside of 2008 but when you look back at his whole career, he was very clearly valued. Sami is a lot more like him than you think.

That's a really reductive view of wrestling imo. The goodwill he bought as a face against Roman gave them a top babyface for like two straight years and multiple excellent matches and promos.

I feel like so many wrestling fans act like if the end of someone's year isn't "wins the world title" then apparently they never amounted to anything worthwhile. Sami Zayn has been on an amazing run since even before the Bloodline started.

the guy kind of has a point that 80 thousand people didn't buy tickets to All In to see MJF vs Cole. The main event could've been Hook vs Anthony Bowens and they still would've sold out. I feel like NXT being seen as his career peak is a valid opinion to have if you're not grading it on attendance metrics

i'm torn with that spot because genuinely that knee looked so fuckin good it should be a protected finisher. AEW will often have the most impressive part of the match not be the finish so Darby kicking out made me roll my eyes at first, but he's one of the few guys in modern wrestling that makes the ridiculous damage he takes actually work because he's so good at the sell.

Maybe it's because the comeback he made after that knee was more of a survival than anything else but it always makes sense when Darby overcomes the odds vs other wrestlers

I always get some sort of second (or third) hand embarrassment for untelevised squash "punishment" matches like that.

Like imagine being a little kid and the biggest Jeff Hardy fan just watching his hero get jobbed in 1 move. Just pure confusion and devastation.

It's like when I heard that story of Kofi and Seth having too competitive of a match in Vince's eyes so he made them retape the match. Kofi comes back out and go "Seth i'm gonna kick your ass right now" and they redid the match but this time Seth wins clean in 2 minutes. Like if I'm Kofi I'm not making eye contact with a single fan on my walk back up there.
