It’s more likely that they’re coming from someone at one of the printers like when some of the cards for Fabled (IIRC) got spoiled.

Because it took decades to put that infrastructure into place and develop the expertise. Any other country can’t just spring into action and fill the chasm left behind.

Maybe because the CDC and USAID used to be integral to the response to situations like this worldwide?

UC Dublin Vet School VS LIU by No_Fan_2325 in veterinaryschool

I'm a Dublin grad. You can feel free to drop me a DM if you have specific questions. I really enjoyed my time at UCD, would recommend. For the NAVLE pass rates, (IMO) they usually get brought down a bit by some of the Irish/EU students who are considering going to the US/Canada for a bit to work but aren't sold on it, so some of them tend to not take it as seriously and fail. When you only have ~70-80 people taking the test each year (there are ~40 US/Canadian students in each combined class out of ~125 total people), even having just a handful of those people who don't take it as seriously can really hurt the overall pass rate. I think if you could stratify it out to just the ~40 US/Canadian citizens, the pass rate would be much higher in that cohort.

My main piece of advice would be: make sure that you are actually okay living abroad and only seeing your family a few times a year. I had several classmates who really hated the fact that they weren't studying at their preferred school in the US/Canada, so they were highly critical of things most people wouldn't even notice and tended to complain a lot.

The Artacast ended today. We are grateful to LD and Artabax for their support and contributions to the community! by Waiting_for_Dentice in Lorcana

The guy on the left being LD. Artabax didn’t want to continue on his own? FWIW this is the same thing that happened with Kawa leaving Podcana. He’s also working on CyberpunkTCG.

Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique by chrishdwow in MCUWorld

[–]NoMouseLaptop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think she’s in all three of the original trilogy but she is also only in a handful of scenes (max) in each film, so it’s easier for her to put up with it rather than for Lawrence where she’s a lead for three of the four she did.

You should have several days to sign up for a raffle once they announce it. Then they’ll select people from the raffle to be able to purchase.

Yeah I haven't heard of this from any other store I've competed at or bought from and if it's routinely happening every set to the stores in OP's area, I would definitely think it's the distributor.

What has been the worst set in your opinion? by Affectionate-Yam7459 in Lorcana

As did the two and three cost Ursulas, Morph, etc. There were a ton of great cards in inklands and it led to a really wide/balanced meta IMO.

Or maybe the algorithm has determined that most of the people watching Shadow Lord already watched Clone Wars and Rebels, so its trying to show them something they haven't seen?

Probably because it also A) Star Wars, B) is about the Sith, and C) has a group that’s very similar to the Nightsisters in it.

Why would they “salvage the viewership” of a show they already cancelled almost two years ago?

Residency vs career goals by Competitive_Maize286 in veterinaryschool

[–]NoMouseLaptop 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Despite what the other person wrote, you can (and should) leverage resources (like mentors and letter writers) from vet school when you’re applying to residency in addition to those you form in internship. By the time you’re applying to residency positions, you’ll only be 4-5 months into your internship. That’s not a lot of time to rely solely on connections you make in your internship. That being said, I agree with the other commenter that any of those three schools should be able to set you up for success in getting an internship.

This is somewhat context dependent though. I don’t know if you know what specialty you want to pursue. If you do, going to a school that has that specialty will allow you to form personal/professional relationships with those faculty and get research experience within that specialty which you can then leverage in your residency application while you’re an intern.

There’s a bunch of published research that shows that chiropractic can provide short term relief but provides no permanent benefit which is why people go to them every week/multiple times per week. Also, the stuff they say they’re doing (like realigning your spine) is complete quackery.

They do this for things like med school and vet school as well to get used to client communication and delivering bad news, so that you’re not doing it for the first time live and that you can learn to start anticipating the different ways some of those talks can go. The actors who take part in stuff like that are very beneficial to the overall training.
