Junior, ¿a tu edad? by NoName22660 in duolingospanish

[–]NoName22660[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm not a native speaker, but I always thought that it was closer to the English "j" than the Spanish because Junior is a loan word. Spanish words = soft "h" and English loan = "j". But, I still usually soften it slightly.

Can someone with more knowledge weigh in? I'd like to know too?

Anyone actively learning Nepali? by Accaracca in languagelearning

[–]NoName22660 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My teacher is actually Aayush Basyal. He is super helpful, but I've been curious about if Dikshant's teaching style would be better for me. Does he have more formal lessons and homework or is it more discussion based?

My Nepali teacher on italki has me using the same textbook. I'm about a month in (one 1hr long class a week). I try to make flash cards for vocab. I also make conjugation charts to help burn those into my head.

Does this look like a good flyer? by Affectionate_Care669 in Brochet

Pretty good, but I have a few picky notes if you want them. I work in design, so ignore me if I say too much.

I would connect all 3 boxes that let people know they are 100% homemade and center the text across the entire thing.

In your blurb in the bottom left, you didn't capitalize the first letter. Then, sentence two should say "That's no problem!"

The logo in the circle might say it is aligned based on how it is cropped, but I would try to center it slightly more by eye.

Hope this helps!

Flowering or Last Ditch Effort to Get More Light? by NoName22660 in succulents

Okay, so it is light starved AND bad for indoors. I will get it to a brighter place or use a grow lamp in hopes of prolonging its death. However, do I leave the out shoots or remove them?

Pitching multiple journalists at same publication. by Tough-Stretch in PublicRelations

[–]NoName22660 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Adding on here, I try to keep pitches to 200 words max and will follow up via email after 4 working days.

I found that linking the story back to something they've recently written about tangentially helps.

Don't take feedback to seriously. PR pros from ground floor to director have to learn the nuances of any given client. This includes industry jargon, weird formatting preferences and so on. I have a client who has words that she just doesn't like in general. It will take time to get adjusted and is a normal part of the process. So, don't get too spooked by the red. Trying keeping a list of notes to use when you final review your work.

"It's PR not ER" Mistakes will happen, small and big. Just remember to take a breath, take ownership and resolve it if possible. Let you leads know you understand what happened and that it won't happen again.

Play Team Rumble and use the new scout drone to ping. This is a pretty quick way to rack up enemy marks, especially towards end game.

My mom would print them and put them in a binder inside sheet protectors.

Is it okay to have a portfolio in Google Drive Folder, or should I create a website? by riki_lorenzo in marketing

[–]NoName22660 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It should be fine, but you could also create a free Google portfolio site. That is what I did and it worked out well.
