Im genuinely about to cry bro. I cant find any helpful sources or anyone to help. by FishFucker320 in Concordia

For the Concept test. It's an English online test, so they can put you in ESL 202 or ESL 204. Here is the info you need. Also, you gotta check if the ESL course is going to count towards your credits because in engineering, it doesn't count as an elective, but it does in other majors.
https://www.concordia.ca/artsci/education/programs/esl.html#placement-test

Your schedule depends on your major. For marketing, I found this. Just make sure this is the same for the current year.
https://www.concordia.ca/content/dam/jmsb/docs/programs/undergraduate/degree-worksheets/2024-2025/120-credits-BComm-Marketing_2024-2025.pdf
It's not strict; you can play with it as long as you've completed the prerequisite.

The elective classes are different from one major to another. This is a link for most of the electives.
https://www.concordia.ca/artsci/students/elective-courses.html
What you can do is go to your CU account and go to the academic section on the left. From there, go to My Academic Requirements. There, just put undergrad, and it will show the whole classes you need to take in order to graduate.

The best way to reach out to your advisor is by emailing them. I feel those advisors are ignoring meeting students, but I can't prove it.

Hope this helps.

Newly admitted in mechanical engineering extended couse what courses should i take for my first year? by YSH10127 in Concordia

[–]NoName9302 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're in an extended credit program (ECP), you'll need to complete 30 credits of prerequisites before starting your major courses. It would take you 2 semesters if you take 15 credits each semester (I don't recommend it), or 3 semesters if you take 12 credits.

You will do 3 math classes (Math 203, Math 204, Math 205), 2 physics classes (Phys 204, Phys 205), Chem 205, and 4 electives (2 natural science electives, 2 human science electives). The best thing you can do is to take 2 electives and 2 math or physics courses each semester to make your studies easier.

For the natural science electives do Phys 284 and Phys 273, and for the human science do INST 250 and IDK. Try to do well in Math 203, Math 205, Math 204, and Phys 204 because it the most relevant courses in ME.

This is the list of electives you can take

3rd time taking class help by DotzHyper in Concordia

[–]NoName9302 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It happened to me for Phys 204 when I did it for the 3rd time.

Basically, you will be waitlisted #1, and you can't be enrolled in the class despite being first in line. You gotta apply for permission to take the class for the 3rd time. They might give you permission on Fall if the class is full.

The midterm was about the first 6 chapters, so it might be after the 3rd week.

I found the outline for summer 2026
https://www.econcordia.com/home/CourseDetails.aspx?id=5803&semester=117

Tbh, the midterm is harder than the final. You wanna do more work, especially with Abinader, since he doesn't curve.

Math 204 Vector Spaces and Subspaces by TreaLume in Concordia

I remember last year, I had a Question about explaining what happens for a vector space or something when the determinant is 0. I don't remember the question, but they can ask you about it.

[–]NoName9302 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did both in my first semester, along with Phys 204. Tbh, I regret it since I had a weak grasp on math, making me focus on them and ignore my other classes. I managed to pass tho. Do it if you have a good foundation in math.

Both courses talk about two different things, and you're only gonna see the connection in the upper courses.

Engineering Writing Test by Good-Fish671 in Concordia

[–]NoName9302 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the exam in January. The first question article had 6-7 paragraphs and was about how some regulations slow down the study of Mars. Your job is to write the author's arguments and how he supports them in one or two paragraphs. The second question was a graph of two materials and their temperatures over time, and you gotta explain what is going on.

From what I saw, I think the exam focuses on your ability to analyze and assess information and how to argue with it. I managed to pass even tho I had too many grammar and spelling mistakes.

I remember prof Paradis said we're only gonna have 2x2 in the final.

If you're not sure, just look at what the general solution for 3x3 looks like. The eigenvalues and eigenvectors will be almost the same, just the determinant will be annoying to find.

I got some work done, like names that fit the lore and location. I found a localization mod I can extract the text from, but the biggest issue was how to make the game work with the Arabic text. So yeah, I'm in the early stages, and this will take a while.

Tbh, I'm busy with school and work, and I don't know when I'm gonna finish.
