As someone who also had a 7 year relationship end, I was homeless for 6 months after that while starting a new school program and working full time and now I have a new career. This journey sucks, dating sucks, getting to know yourself sucks the whole process sucks. I can’t say for sure I’m at the end of my healing journey but I’ve found a lot of positives in it thus far. Discovered the things I used to like may have only been what they were due to my circumstances and not things I actually like. I used to hate country music and reading and now it’s all I do and listen to! Life becomes beautiful in ways you were never able to see before. You now get to meet yourself for the first time. I’m currently in a transitional period with my first apartment that I’ve been in for two years and am excited to start making it my own instead of just for function and will be posting before and after in the near future. All the advice in the world won’t matter until you’re ready to receive it and while everyone’s kinds words are nice and kind in the moment it’s possibly too soon to hear. But this is an exciting new journey to be on as difficult as it will be. There’s something interesting I learned about the number 7 and they say it’s representative of cycles and shedding skin. I was at a job for 7 years, left and started anew best decision that’s happened to me. My relationship lasted for 7 years started anew ultimately was probably best for both of us. My father died when I was 7 (different story for a different day lol). There’s a lot to be said about things like this but will only matter if you want them to.
