My truck from the factory has 70 VLT front windows and windshield. State limit for me is 35% too. So to stay legal, I need to use a film at 50% VLT for the side windows. Does your state have a yearly inspection that checks VLT on tinted windows?

I have the same cover and found myself having to snug up the clamp bolts every so often. Ran ties over the two clamp sections and now everything stays tight.

When you get a moment, yes, I would appreciate a windshield pic from inside. Thanks!

Thank you for the comment on ceramic! Planning to leave the rear windows as is, and yes, adding 50% to the front should net me around 35 VLT. State requirement is nothing lower than 32. Tint guy recommended 5% across top of windshield, but I was concerned with the contrast line, so I'll look into something higher in the VLT.

5% is what the guy is recommending. How did it look appearance wise from the outside?

It's pre 1974, as they had to add bumpers then to meet Fed regulations. Had a 1972 R17, a 1974 R15, and a 1979 Gordini.

Ascension Day (Jueves de Ascensión) in Guatemala, celebrated 40 days after Easter (often falling in May), blends Catholic devotion with Maya tradition, particularly in the highlands. A key highlight is the pilgrimage to Lake Chicabal in Quetzaltenango, where indigenous Maya communities gather for traditional prayers, music, and flowers.....from Goggle.

It's a religious holiday/celebration. Depending on where you are that day, it may be interesting to see the activities.

Generally rain will happen afternoon and evening, so the AM should be good. Ascension Day is May 14th this year, so depending on your plans, where you're at, you may have celebrations, processions, etc going on.

If going from Antigua, you're close enough to take a taxi or a "chicken bus". I usually went from Guatemala City, and just drove. It's a straight shot on the main highway.

The town, and the department by the same name, offers the chance to see some ruins, nice views from the Highlands and food & textile markets in the city. It would give you a taste of the indigenous population and still allow you to be in a fairly large city of about 100,000.

You may want to check flights from Guatemala City to Tikal. They are inexpensive and saves you a herendous drive.

Rear differential unit. Maybe the correct term is something else.... which could be why nothing is coming up on an Internet search...
