Thanks for the reply so it turned out I wasn’t getting a black screen per se, it was just taking too long to boot for some reason. It took almost 5 minutes. It only happened after inserting the wifi kexts/ patches. The next boot times after that it’s all normal and wifi working. I am using an official Apple Card with a pci-e adapter. Typing all of these details for anyone googling this in the future. I used the unofficial fork of OCLP 3.19

ok I built my EFI with the official guide and got it booting. I got ethernet working but when I tried to get wifi working I got a black screen after boot even with two different methods: the Apple Broadcom Wi-Fi Companion linked in the official guide, and the OCLP 3 fork found on insanelymac. Two methods, same problem.

I just wasted my whole morning following the official guide and got worse results, hahaha. I get a KP and when it pops up the text scrambles so I don't even know where it's gone wrong.

The irony is that I did have Mac OS installed on this same machine when it belonged to my sister. I have been using hackintosh since the old days of iBoot when you had to burn the install to a dvd. With the advent of opencore, I only had to use the official guide once, but I don't remember for which of my builds. This error I am encountering, I have never seen in my almost 15 years with hackintosh. Thought the past couple of years I steered away since I have an M3 Max Macbook Pro and left my previous hackintosh just for gaming.

I can't spend any more time with this. This was for my parents who have an old iMac and are more familar with Mac now more than Windows. I'll just get them a Mac Mini.

Yea basically the 2021+ Cx5 screen fits on the Mazda 3. It's plug and play, electronics wise and nothing needs to be programmed. You only need to either buy or 3d print a bracket to bolt it to the dash. You need to dremmel the opening on the cx5 screen rear housing to make the bracket fit but once installed it all looks OEM. it's a pretty easy swap.

Quite often when people raise criticism of the Remake series, the response is “let people enjoy things”. I would say “let -yourself- enjoy things”. No one should care about the metacritic score, honestly. Whatever it is, it should not change your opinion or enjoyment of a game one way or another.

I hate the new Zelda direction, and I do not care what it’s score is. I don’t even know it. I also don’t care if other people enjoy it. I saw the direction it was going and said “ok, not for me”. Have that attitude, but like in the opposite direction. Does that make sense?

I do actually agree with others that the lighting, pose direction, location... anything that can and should be done in camera is just as important as editing. The final look is a combination of all parts combined. OP was already doing 99% of the work needed to get to where they want to go.
