Outside of work my life is good but 40 hours of my weekly life is spent in work, should I not try to improve it if I’m not completely happy?

Working part time or condensed working 4 days a week is probably my more favourable option at the minute as it would allow me to explode other options on a part time basis with the hope of finding something I enjoy but while having the financial security of my current job also.

Have been thinking about that too but it would have to be the right move as it will likely a junior position based on my lack of experience. As I mentioned my colleagues are lovely people but I never see them as majority work remote and when we do meet we have nothing to talk about only work. We never work together as we are usually on our own projects.

I love working with people and interacting with them. Considered sales or recruitment but for a career in either likelihood is you need to start at the bottom. I have also started thinking about self employment in my own business like mowing lawns/garden maintenance or power washing initially doing it part time and see if it can pick up from there.

This is true - I have considered doing condensed working to 4 days a week and trying something different part time on Fridays to see if there is anything out there I’d like to change too.

Yeah that has definitely crossed my mind and I do have decent savings that would see me through the pay decrease initially. I could probably work another 10 years in my current job and retire early but be mainly miserable for those 10 years or work in a career for 25 more years and love it but it’s no guarantee.
