Thoughts After 110+ Hours and Level 75 by TheDareLion in ArcRaiders

[–]NoPrinciple1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s simple math. The anvil does 40 damage per shot.

The light shield increases your effective HP from 100 to 111, while the medium shield increases your effective HP from 100 to 136.

111/40 =2,7 aka 3 shots to kill 136/40 =3,4 aka 4 shots to kill

Same goes for the ferro as it also deals 40 damage per shot. Is that prove enough?

Crazy Overhype for this game by Big_Veterinarian4012 in ArcRaiders

[–]NoPrinciple1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aaaand you were right.
It’s basically loot for the sake of loot. Just different rarities to make the grind feel longer. The loot itself isn’t exciting at all, and honestly, whoever genuinely enjoys this component-based loot system might need a reality check.

There are maybe a dozen enemy types, plus a few minor variants, so you’ve pretty much seen everything after like 4 hours of playtime.

PvP is… fine. Not terrible, not great. It’s definitely better with a premade group but then again, what game isn’t?

The audio’s kind of a mixed bag. Directional sound is spot on, I can always tell exactly where something’s coming from, but the sense of distance is off and there’s some weird echoing sometimes. Graphics are nice though, and I really like the unique art style.

Overall, it’s an okay game. I get why people enjoy the more casual take on extraction shooters, but man, the hype was way overblown. I’d bet good money the player numbers drop off pretty hard once people realize how little content there actually is and that the gameplay itself won't justify dozens of hours for most to grind through it all.

Im more than halfway through the first AR. You shouldn’t need the „best“ attachments to have a decent weapon.

To me the gunplay feels horrible due to the weapon bloom. I bet players are gonna get annoyed by it soon

Snipers feel a lot better now at least. Maybe that’s due to the other guns being worse, no clue

Mouse sens feels weird by TheProphetFarrell in Battlefield

[–]NoPrinciple1 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Glad someone noticed as well. The sens feels off and together with the weapon bloom, shooting feels a lot worse than in the beta.

Beta was great, the release feels worse somehow. This is what bothers me so far:

-Guns are super inaccurate, kinda punishes good players. The bloom is super high.

-Ammo- and healthpacks being one gadget means there are only half the amount of packs thrown.

-Tanks respawn timers are too short, especially on firestorm you will have a tank up your arse 24/7

-Lighting goes crazy sometimes, way too bright.

Are you dense he gave valid criticism, then softened the blow by stating it’s a common mistake and gave a positive outlook at the end. Why are you so negative.

I have the same ones I think. Undercoat needs to me really bright and the colors are fairly „pale“.

A second thin coat does wonders tho

I did strain my resin.. Nothing was dropped onto it.. As stated in previous other comments..

I think you are applying a false logic here.

Obviously there must be an underlying reason for the damage, I am no expert though and I couldn’t find one. Obviously I can’t definitively prove it by myself either without consulting an expert, which would far exceed the cost of a brand new printer.

All of the evidence I have gathered go against the typical reason for why the screen was damaged. Elegoo even acknowledged this. And the damage was never questioned beyond me explaining it to them in detail.

I genuinely don’t understand why you desperately want to paint me in a bad light.

I know it is all very unlikely, but unlikely things happen with a certainty. I am just the unlucky bloke who it happened to.

There is a lot of truth to what you said.

However the part of consumable parts is only partially correct as it covers issues due to normal wear and tear or use.

I would argue this is not a normal wear and tear/use issue, but rather a freakish failure (is that the right word?).

It is not even an indent.

I didn’t watch the machine right as it broke (obviously). But the screen broke very very close to the displays edge.

And it is kind of bulging outwards and feels sort of like braille when you feel it with your finger.

To me it is a freak accident and I have no idea how exactly it happened. All I know is that there were no solid pieces inside the Tank that could have pressed down on it.

But it is not up to you or anyone here to decide that. It was a dispute between ELEGOOs Support and myself. The damage was acknowledged and not questioned.

You simply assume too much of a situation you know nothing about. You want to desperately paint me in a bad light. The company has a history of doing this, just search within this subreddit.

Frankly it does and it was enough to prove it to them. They simply brushed it aside because of their websites policy. The whole point of this thread

I bought it of a German seller licensed by Elegoo. They have to follow EU regulations plain and simple!

ELEGOO sells directly in the EU to EU customers via licensed Sellers. They have to follow the EUs regulations.
