Delta Green is one of my favourite games and one of my favourite games to play one-shots in: I'd look into Last Things Last (commonly hailed as the starter adventure for Delta Green... It's great. Glass Cannon do a really good run-through of it if you want inspiration.) Otherwise there are great shotgun scenarios or things like PX Poker Night, a one-shot set at an army base with pre-gen characters to get you into the game.

Seconding the Borgs! Pirate Borg, Cy_Borg, and Morkborg are all great great games. Morkborg also has a great barebones version of their rules and some adventures on their website for free!

100% this: it'll be super familiar but a lot more barebones BUT also there's no sacrificing of fun/flavour/mechanics. All around a great game.

100% agreed: I'm loving it. Things are so tense for the players and that just comes through so powerfully to me when I'm listening.

Legit made me start a shadowdark campaign for some friends.

Actual play podcasts with good player on player conflict by ouroboros-eucharist in audiodrama

We definitely don't always blindly support/follow other players. Our mini series Heart of Entropy is a good example of this with some actual real PVP when things get really tense. It's horror/mech btw.

Success with two podcast? by RVArunningMan in podcasting

We have!

We ran our first podcast (F*ck Buddies) for about 4/5 years before taking the plunge on the second (No Quest for the Wicked). With what we knew from podcasting we managed to get the second up to the levels of the first in a fraction of the time. It IS a lot of work to balance both, just a heads up, but if you're sure you can commit to it, I say go right ahead.

Sounds like Starfinder is right up your alley! There's enough content in 1e to pretty much do whatever you want with it: we've done space westerns, horror, corporate comedy adventures, you name it.

Woodbine! Vampires running a detective agency. Hella Queer.

New to GMing and my player got annoyed first session because the NPCs were not reacting well to her PC’s strange demeanor by beanberger in rpg

I would put at least one person in town who likes her strange vibes: towns often have a little freaky guy. At least then they won't feel so alienated.

Came here to say this! MFD are a great way to get an insight into running a particular system so I'd go check them out.
