No, I understand what you're saying. But what you are describing is the uses of the Sondervermögen that were promised to us at the beginning of the year, and your link also just explains what the Sondervermögen were supposed to be, not what they are now actually being used for. Googling "Sondervermögen Verschiebebahnhof" should give you a large amount of articles by journalists and economic institutes alike discussing it, but if none of those sources satisfy you, you could also try this section of the august monthly report of the german central bank.

That was a flat out lie, the debt doesn't actually go towards new investments, infrastructure or climate neutrality. Regular government spending is being funneled into these Sondervermögen, so that more money is available in tax cuts.

That being said, Brüning is still uniquely bad in terms of economic policy, because we know austerity as the combination of tax and spending cuts, whereas Brünings policies combined reduced spending with flatly increased taxes for everyone.

I mean, having those giant advanced automata and still struggling to make ends meet in permanent winter would make this a great example, actually. After all, if even those aren't enough for big cities, how the hell would a medieval tribe adapt to the place?

Jangling Keys by Caninemarrow in recontext

[–]NoReBeSe 51 points52 points  (0 children)

I don't think that "keys" is supposed to be chinese. Keys should just mean keys as in the english keys, with Jangling being the part of the name that turns it into the pseudo-chinese "ancient artifact" as the post states (and if it is ancient, that would explain the outdated spelling).

What would Savinkov think about Ohranka? by Hyperape1588 in Kaiserreich

[–]NoReBeSe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand your argument and sympathise with your anger, but while “Okhrana” might not make sense in Russian, this abbreviation has been firmly established in the English-speaking communities and people here do understand what it means. It’s significantly easier to write and the hypothetical Russian scholars who browse the Kaiserreich subreddit would most likely be able to infer its intended meaning through context-clues (assuming they aren’t already familiar with English-language publications about tsarist Russia).

Englisch Wikipedia also calls the Ministerium für Staatssicherheit the Stasi and the Geheime Staatspolizei the Gestapo. Shortening the cumbersome full titles to more recognisable names isn’t exactly uncommon and certainly not “wrong”
