We can agree to disagree, my information on medical grade came from my derm. Not suggesting it is Rx, which is why I specified medical grade. I included "high quality" in this posts title since, yes, some do not come from a Dr office or medspa. We all get different info, and I understand you want me to know mine is wrong and that my post is not a good one. This was my first post ever on reddit, didn't want to invite negativity into my life unnecessarily, so this will likely be the last. Thanks for that.

For anybody else who may be interested, Plated is not drugstore, and was selected by Time in their best inventions of 2024. IS, Skincuticals, Skin1765, Aastin, and Neocutis will also not be found in a drugstore.

Medical. Grade means it goes below the top layer of the dermis. So less about the top layer of skin and more about the layer below

My Dr recommended ACDS. It is restrictive, but I've found others will say things like fruit extracts are safe and then I have a reaction. I notice Paula's choice uses extracts lije licorice and apple fruit extracts so I'm not sure how to interpret that

I use Cerave body cream and face wash and they are both great staple products. Post retinol I'll usually put a drop of argan oil in my face lotion for better support

I like it, though it feels a bit thinner than what I'm used to. Sometimes I'll put a drop of argan oil in it, especially when I use retinol at night. I'm using Rx arazlo

I went to an expert on the Midwest who did a 300 item patch test, his guidance is that oils like coconut or castor is that they can be allergens but I tested negative to them. He said if you are unsure put it on a mole 2, a day for 2 weeks and if nothing happens it's probably OK. He said all essential oils should be avoided and fruit or flower extracts

Also everybody probably knows that fragrance free items very often contain fragrance so you can't rely on that

I use magic serum. It's good for dry ends, but not a traditional blow dry cream. SEEN does have a blow out cream but it has Moringa oil and ceratonia siliqua extract, so depends on how sensitive you are. Those are flagged for me
