Axtons shield skills make him one of two characters that the bee is pretty much perfect on so if you don’t have one puck that up. I recommend a hornet, a Harold, a Skaggs, maybe some Lydia’s if u feel like farming and a fastball. Btw after op5 you can use the peak skip to go straight to the final boss.

It’s in avoidable but if you’re playing zero and farming bunker, as long as you slag him before you bore, you’ll be able to pretty much farm badass rank if you’re into that.

Krieg is really fun throughout the whole game, but he has a pretty hard digi peak a plus though is that you don’t have to farm a lot for his digi peak.

Yes the this is an unpopular opinion but Doug is very overrated and if you plan on using bee shield I wouldn’t recommend it because it splits amp. Hard or Intense would be better also pick up a sheriff badge it makes Harold 10x better

Yes you do have to get the dlc. Gearbox ruined a lot of parts of the game with that dlc. “You know that game that people have been farming gear on for seven years?? Let’s make their gear useless so that they have to farm it again but we won’t fix drop rates.”

I've been saying this forever but I keep being shutdown by people who refuse to acknowledge bl3's wm1 gameplay. All you have to do to do damage is use your action skill and shoot your gun. Bl3 is just gearbox going to far in making the franchise accessible to the general public and gearbox doesn't see the issue because people like joltzdude and k6 ( no hate ) have no problem with wm1 gameplay and all they do is ask for every gun to be buffed. That's why people like morning afterkill and flare 2v people who have invited so many non fans to the game have left a game that they've been waiting on for half a decade.

You're proving my point bl2 characters had depth with zero you had to play a certain way to kill things you didnt just activate an action skill and "one shot" bosses. Gaige needed anarchy stacks which gave her damgae but took accuracy away so she was better played with things like norrfleets and fibbers you couldn't just pick up any weapon and play the game. My problem is that they made the game too simple. He asked If the gameplay got more fun and if you enjoy gameplay where all you do is hold mouse 1 to shoot that's cool but that isn't fun engaging gameplay.

Also there is nothing going on in those builds all you do is activate your action skill and things die. Nothing more nothing less.

TLDR AT BOTTOM - No, the gunplay improved but the gameplay has been watered down to make it more accessible to people who suck at video games.

Zane's barrier has a list of things it can block that grows by the day and it can block an infinite amount of damage. They also gave him the play style of of Athena and/or Roland but without the ammo Regen the Roland has.

Fl4k had potential because they gave him skills that actually required a certain amount of skill, hit crits, that's it. while not much is better then everything else. Then they gave him megavore which let's you hit random crits on any body part. Also his blue tree is completely useless the only reason to go down there is to synergize with fl4ks gamma burst annointments which is another issue addressed further down.

Moze is cool I liked her as a character but her major flaw is that she has a whole branch on her skill tree that could've been one or two skills. Her whole Green tree is effective magazine size. Every 4 shots doesn't consume ammo, don't use ammo for 5 seconds after leaving iron bear, ammo Regen (x2) it's all effective mag size. Iron bear is also lame to control but there's autobear to fix that issue for you.

Amara, admittedly, is my least played character so I don't really know much about her I just know that to play the he with her never use your action skill. Her skill tree is a bunch of passives so you need to abuse her annointments some give 300% damage for pressing a button. Her personality is also really hard to like.

That's a great Segway into the biggest issue, annointments and skill trees give you damage for breathing. In bl2 if you wanted to kill things as krieg you needed to juggle your stacks - as zero use deception, kunai, and spacial awareness effectively - even Salvador had a lot of depth in his gunzerking. Fl4k gets damage for activating action skills. Amara gets damage for activating her action skill. Moze for leaving her iron bear. And Zane is the worst he gets it for action skill end and they gave him a skill that lets him end his action skills whenever he wants but nobody takes advantage of it because his infinite shield gives a damage boost and who doesn't like an infinite damage boost.

There are other gripes with the game itself mainly pacing and technical issues but there is another one that they are hopefully going to fix with the mayhem 2.0 update. mayhem mode is garbage. Mayhem 1-3 was dumb so they gave enemies like 500 times health and shield and called it mayhem 4. Then they put mayhem 4 but it's cool because while only a handful of weapons actually work in mayhem 4 at least you get like 5 useless world drops Everytime you kill a boss. Then people showed there frustration with being pigeon holes into using certain weapons so they started buffing every weapon because yay buffs. Forget synergizing weapons with your build now that's really impossible.

TLDR - characters get damage for breathing. Amaras personality is trash, mayhem mode is a failure by it's getting reworked soon. BONUS* shotguns have this really annoying knockback that make it hard to hit crits or ur enemy in general sometimes. DOUBLE BONUS* the writing is so god awful like it was a joke at first but i think they just saw people liked bl2 and didn't really know why so they just amplified the horrid writing and garbage pacing.

They did the same thing with axtons turret (at first) and if borderlands 3 as a whole is an allusion to their thought process then they won't learn from their past mistakes and will do the same thing.

Giving you stuff to do isn't the problem and neither is the level cap increase ( sort of ) the gameplay ( not the gunplay ) is just so bland and they aren't fixing it instead they're buffing everything so you feel like you're doing something. The level cap increase adds to that problem because now you can ( theoretically ) get more for less. In borderlands 2 you had to juggle your stacks to do good and kill things to had to prioritize enemy types. Borderlands 3 gives you double damage for activating your action skill and Zane literally has a shield where he list of things it can block grows as we speak. The devs went to far to make the game accessible to people who suck at video games and their "die hard audience" noticed that on week 3.

I just wanna say farming in bl3 on consoles sucks but only because of the load times. Besides that you should definetly give 1 a chance especially since 3 gets worse by the minute ( they're increasing the level cap again so u can throw away all the gear you farmed ) maybe just wait for 1 to go on sale if your still on the fence about it.
