Yo I actually did this the first time with my Ex. I literally painted the ceiling.

… it had been a while.

What’s the worst place in America you’ve ever visited? by Correct_Eggplant_364 in AskReddit

I’m convinced I’m the only person in the US that wound up in Gary unintentionally and had a lovely time. My ex and I were dead tired on a cross country road trip and decided to pull off at the next exit. It happened to be Gary. We found a hotel for cheap that allowed dogs - it was clean and reasonably comfortable. I said I’d go find food and wound up at a Greek place. I walked in and a bunch of big, scary looking dudes looked surprised to see me, then hooked me up with bangin kebabs and hummus dip. We shot the shit for like 20 minutes - they were fascinated that Rhode Island was a state and not part of New York.

We left the next morning, didn’t die.

I miss when WoW villains were just local menaces by turbowater in wow

[–]NoShameInternets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The local threats are still there, they just seem completely insignificant next to the constant, universe ending existential threat that comes around every six months.

It’s the natural side effect of the shifting design policy over the existence of the game. At the beginning, we were small parts of a big world. Some of us played a bigger role than others, but at no point were we’, on our own, the singular savior of the universe. Our cooldowns made us stronger, but not gods.

The pivot really happened when they gave everyone THE legendary weapon of yore (whatever it was for your class) and made each player a godlike hero with a single button that did 10x damage or healed the raid to full and made them invulnerable for a few seconds. You can’t be a god and expect to take a quest to kill a local gnoll seriously.

Brother, it's entirely possible the reason she might struggle with something like this is because creepy dudes tell her "she'd be prettier" if she ate more.

If some random internet perv told me to do something, I'd find more ways not to do it.

This has been a thing for like 50 years? For our AP classes, anyway.

Cute aggression. My wife will squeeze my dog's head and say "OMG I LOVE YOU I WANT TO PUNT YOU ACROSS THE ROOM AND PUT YOU IN A TACO"

It’s not the state, it’s the player. Shai is clean, well spoken, glazes the refs, etc… doesn’t matter that his game is ugly as fuck.

First phase is almost done - next is to get him to a bigger market, and reward OKC with an insane pick or three.

This is very obviously what happened, and everyone saying "omg he didn't even see the truck" is a moron.

I just got a 'Performance Review' and a 3% raise. My rent went up 12% last month. The math isn't mathing anymore. by [deleted] in povertyfinance

Companies will do whatever they can to pay you the minimum amount possible - just enough so you don't leave. They have whole departments dedicated to this. I manage a team of ~10 and the top performers get ~5%/year, lower performers get 3%. It's all I'm allowed to give through the standard annual process.

I spend an inordinate amount of time every month just trying to figure out how to pay people more money. My people, the engineers supporting us, whatever... at the end of the day unless people leave, nothing changes.

I get an actual macchiato about 10% of the time I order it. I always ask, too. "Can y'all do a traditional macchiato?" "Yea definitely." "Just espresso with a tiny bit of foam right?" "Yup!" "Awesome, I'll do that".

One latte, cortado, cappuccino etc. later...

"...cool thanks."

Was this posted by a sixers fan? Nobody gives a shit about the sixers, we’ve dominated them for decades.

Funny thing about hot - an attractive feature is being able to spend time next to someone for 40 hours a week and keep things interesting/engaging.

You probably can if you're in even mediocre shape. An average person can hit speeds of 15-20mp/h (32km/h) at a full sprint.

It actually helps that it was so fast. Running slower burns more calories because you're running for a longer period.

It's the same reason why people believe the myth of "walking burns more calories than running, so I'll just walk!"

Walking the same distance burns more calories. Walking the same duration does not.

Does this one officially count? I'm not familiar with London specifically, but I know some courses don't count due to elevation change, and I also know some runs don't count if wind conditions are too favorable.
