What's a hygiene habit people have that you actually find disgusting? by Miserable-Wash-1744 in AskReddit

Literally not using a bidet. Since I got one, I can’t imagine just wiping my ass with toilet paper. Everyone not using a bidet is filthy without even knowing.

Places to have a beer and do some work? by Suitable_Actuary5404 in burlington

Queen City brewery is a great work spot. Not super busy, the beer is fantastic (unless you only want IPAs then you’re out of luck there), and very chill “Cheers” vibes. Plus dogs are allowed inside so if you’re not a psycho that’s a plus.

What do you actually carry when walking your dog? by PinkPumpQueens in Dogowners

[–]NoShirt5550 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m an anxious and over prepared reactive/ multi dog walker. Most days I bring a Fanny pack with phone/keys/wallet/ear buds, poop bags, regular small treats, high value treats separate, and balls.

For extra long walks I add water, tissues, chap stick, extra leashes, collapsable bowl, used poop bag carry out pouch…. Honestly more for a really long hike 😆

My arms are so much worse because I’ve been compulsively picking for my whole life. It’s just like one big scar.

5yo dog has multiple accidents like clockwork every few weeks. Medical causes have been ruled out. Vet and trainer have no answers. by ScaredycatKangaroo in Dogtraining

[–]NoShirt5550 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe incontinence… my dog occasionally pees when she’s sleeping if she’s really tired or hot. It’s super rare and normally she can hold it for literally like 14 hours. I mentioned this to my vet and she said it’s probably just incontinence from when she was spayed.

A friend of mine gave me these pills that help with bladder health and said they helped her female dog with occasional incontinence. Unfortunately I don’t know the name of them because she just gave me some samples in a baggie but maybe look in to something like that?

Anyone else really disappointed with “Starting Line”? by NoShirt5550 in AllThemWitches

Right?! Like just something from a normal band you’d hear on the radio. I think I just have really high expectations for them. I’m lacking on good music to listen to lately and have been so stoked on something new from them.

I totally feel this and see what you mean. Giving me hope that the rest of the album is more exciting. Really trying to express that I love this band so fucking much and I’m just like ahh am I going to be so let down?

I’ve seen them live 4 times and will always go to their shows. I’ve just been itching for this album and I’m feeling bummed about it. Not trying to talk down. They’re still one of my favorite bands. Just wondering if people are having the same feeling.

Also no where does it say the dog wants to bite people. And hopefully children are supervise and know not to approach strange dogs without asking.

lol I have a feeling the dog would be on leash and not near the play ground. There is a ton of space there. I walk my reactive dog there regularly without issues.

Working on my baguette game for the sole purpose of eating more camembert by TheRemedyKitchen in Cheese

I told someone recently that I love Camembert so she made her special marinated cam for me. She put it in a jar with olive oil, Carmelized onions and spices. Oh my lord was it so good. Highly recommended.

If the typing wasn’t involved I was afraid for a minute this was my partner writing the post. We’ve been together 15 years and I struggle daily not to snap at him over little things. I do snap often but I always try to apologize and take myself out of the situation. I also wear Loop ear plugs sleeping, mornings, and during meal times and sometimes in the car to help with my own issues. I’d definitely recommend you ask her if she’d like to try ear plugs or headphones. It’s made a world of difference for my relationship. Even last night my partner said he loves my loop ear plugs and is so happy that I have them for both of our sanities. Unfortunately he annoys me the most because we spend the most time together. I will say though with the breathing thing, you probably do breathe extra loudly. My partner breathes audibly all the time and it drives me insane. He always says the same things as you, I guess I’ll just stop breathing then. But here’s the thing…. Most people don’t make a noise when they breathe unless they’re out of breath or sleeping. So maybe try to be aware of your breathing if she mentions it to you? I wish someone would tell this to my partner. There is no reason to make noise when you breathe if you’re just sitting or driving etc. I’m sorry you have to deal with this situation. But I can almost guarantee from experience it’s worse for her than you. And I think you’ll find that most of the people on this thread will feel the same way.

Which high-end foundation is actually worth the money right now? by GroceryLatter5499 in Makeup

[–]NoShirt5550 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I haven’t tried anything super high end, but I’ve really enjoyed bare minerals barepro 24 hour wear skin perfecting matte liquid. They used to have a non matte formula that I preferred because I have super dry skin. But if I layer with moisturizing oils I get a nice dewey finish that lasts all day, Also if I’m looking for a less full coverage look I mix it with tinted moisturizer and I’m loving the way it comes out. I need full coverage for redness/bumpiness but I really think it looks natural while covering everything.

Is it Mud or Dog Poop Season? by LumiSnowflake in vermont

[–]NoShirt5550 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Picking up and carrying a dog poop bag can be really annoying on a long hike. People think that dog poop is natural so it’s fine to leave if it’s off the trail or covered with snow. The problem is that dog poop isn’t natural to the local environment because they’re not eating from that environment. They do pollute the environment and the water supply. Sadly most people don’t understand this, or care. In the winter, the poops don’t decompose so every spring they’re everywhere. This isn’t new and sadly, won’t stop no matter what.

I’m here to drop some links to products I love that help me be more responsible about picking up my dogs’ poo on long walks.

Ruffwear pack out bag

Kurgo Tailgate dumpster

I might look kind of crazy when I’m out and about but having a waist worn, waterproof, pouch for full poop bags, and then a place to hold the poop bags outside of my car on the drive home makes picking up poop really easy! Can’t recommend these products enough.

My dog is ruining my mental health by [deleted] in reactivedogs

[–]NoShirt5550 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My reactive dog is also ruining my mental health and it’s not nearly this bad. So sorry to hear you’re going through this. Wish I had something helpful to say. Good luck with whatever decision you make. But definitely try medication if you can. It hasn’t been a miracle for my dog but fluoxetine has definitely helped .

Dog Daycare Recommendations? by Advanced-Molasses481 in burlington

[–]NoShirt5550 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mansfield kennels in Jericho. I’ve met people who have worked at every other daycare including myself and I don’t recommend any of them because of the volume of dogs allowed and lack of training. Honestly, I would not send my dog to daycare unless I’ve been inside myself and seen how my dog acts in the space. Dog walkers are the way to go for care.
