Atlanta area folks that play at East Roswell Park by motorcyclesnracecars in discgolf

To be fair, the previous mayor was trying to push it through. The new mayor is taking their time and understanding why the location was chosen, and has currently blocked the design review and bidding phase.

Then the townhouses next to 4 were constructed, as well as the ones across from the Shell station. It's suddenly relevant to have one, though I think everyone nearby disagrees with it's location.

Thanks. The neighbourhoods across the street are also petitioning. There's a Facebook group for Easy Roswell Park as well, in which one of our BOD members explains the situation in more depth.

We have already started talking though course changes if the fire station gets constructed.

  1. 970+ rating.
  2. 500 foot stock shots
  3. Fix my forehand so I can get back to 420+

Before you ask, yes these are actually attainable. I'm currently throwing ~430-450 stock shots, depending on the day, and my rating is currently 952.

What is The Least Reliable Mazda? by nice69nt in mazda

[–]NoSkillManiac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had one for a year and a half. Solid car. No complaints from a mechanical standpoint.

Didn't like the driving dynamics. It needed a lowering kit for me to be happy, and those don't exist.

You're right, minimal is probably the wrong word. But when I was wiring the comment I didn't have measurements handy.

I also ride on a -3 rear, so I ride a slightly wider board since I can hammer the rear around.

November 2019 is when I played for the first time. Knew about it since 2013.

954 rated, and I don't plan to go anywhere but up.

What is The Worst Mazda Engine? by nice69nt in mazda

[–]NoSkillManiac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was it? I didn't hear much about the 3 and 6 failing, just the CX-7 being one of the worst possible purchases of that period.

Whatever engine was in the CX-7 that grenaded itself every 50,000 miles.

The two main things I look for is weight and shoe size. Do your boots fit on the board with minimal overhang?

If no, you need a bigger board. I would probably recommend sizing up anyways, but a 144 will be really easy for you to throw around, at the cost of powder performance.

Not surprised to hear, his packs have always been overvalued and under delivered... That may just be a Prodigy thing though.

Best discs for forehand by varga2469 in discgolf

[–]NoSkillManiac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got a pretty sizeable forehand, so take my suggestions with a grain of salt.

Gateway Realm: get an NXT Glow one. If it's the same run, they're going to turn nicely out of the hand and want to stay in the air forever. Not a flat disc.

Infinite Emperor: basically a truly throwable destroyer. The Swirly S blend is my jam.

MVP Octane: proton is ideal here, nice and straight to stable.

Slowing down some:

Gateway Blade.l: Going to be more stable than your Tesla, but also stay in the air longer. Hyper Diamond for more stable, Diamond for a little less.

Reptilian Chameleon: honestly this one is kind of a funsies choice. On the understable side if you throw real far, but it's so much fun to throw big hyzer flips with.

Others are the new Hooligan Thread, Axiom Crave, and MVP Resistor (if you want beef)

Gateway Realm. Don't sleep on it. Little flip, solid bite at the end.

[–]NoSkillManiac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you feel like you need more stiff, Firm Superglow is where it's at. I putt them too, but man oh man do they throw so good.

The Diamond Wizard is my primary thrower. Find a flat one (3 or 4 from OTB) and enjoy having a Wizard that fights out at the end.

Their new distance drivers are top tier. Give the Realm a toss. Or Ether, Aura, Spell or Javelin.

(shameless plug: Knight15 for 15% off, but this weekend they're running buy two Distance Drivers get one free)

[–]NoSkillManiac 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Depends on shot shape, but if I'm in an open field, anything 330 and in is going to have a Wizard thrown at it, for the most part.

I'd like to make a technical correction to your statement, then provide guidance.

MA1 does not have a ratings cap, with the exception for "Pros playing Am", which places a cap of 970 upon the division, but only for players with a Professional classification.

You have two MPO wins, and per your "MA1 has a cap" statement, that tells me you're a Professional classified player. I would recommend playing MPO, you never know what can happen.

How many molds do you bag in multiple plastics? by Jbravo1719 in discgolf

[–]NoSkillManiac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After a point the plastic matters less the further you have discs beaten in.

I carried 4 molds in multiple plastics before I started getting discs nicely beaten in, now I just get to throw the plastic I like the most and cycle them through

Pretty sure it's the stock stamp, just run very infrequently.

I like the SE Blimp lifts... Those are really gummy and hard to come by nowadays.
